Wedding details
Our story is a typical, fun, love story! The best part of it ALL is where we met...right here, in Edgewood, MD at my home! On a very hot day in July, I was coming home from an event when I immediately spotted this motorcycle parked sideways next door to me. I noticed the rider standing at the doorway of my neighbor. He was fitted in his riding gear and helmet in hand. As I walked over to drop off my neighbors grandchildren, I immediately noticed that he was FINE, I needed to act fast as I knew he was about to leave. I quickly asked the rider, "Is that your bike?", he replied, "Why yes, it is." I HAD to let him know "that's a nice looking bike!", he replied, "Nice looking lady!" I started walking away quickly, as if I were Loretta Devine on Waiting to Exhale when she invited Gregory Hines character to dinner and she started walking away, ensuring that he was mesmerized by her leaving, she turned back to see if he was still looking, AND HE WAS! So was Travis! He was watching so much, he followed me over to his friends house, where I was dropping off my kids at a party. This is where we exchanged names and numbers. Then it was this whole Nickole/Travis thing...I was like...huh...crickets! I then took the initiative to invite him back over that evening for dinner. He did come back over that evening and I made him some grilled chicken wings, which I brought over to him at my neighbor's house. I explained that the wings were kind of stuck to the foil, but they were still edible.... and he still ate them. He told me that I should have used Pam so that they didn't stick! I told him to buy me some! After that chuckle, I invited him over to my home and we talked for hours, literally! He explained that he was a "local" truck driver, which I told him if he was long-distance hauling, this won't work! He assured me that he was home EVERY NIGHT and I told him that I am a veteran of the US Army (10 years) but I currently work as an Executive Assistant for a non-profit organization in Human Resources and have been there for a while. He glowed with excitement to know that I was gainfully employed! He had already met my kids, from the party earlier and they were constantly running in and out of the house while we were talking in the dining room and he shared that he too has two adult daughters. After talking with Travis that day/night, I felt a common bond with him, (we share the same birth month)! He was charismatic, knowledgeable in various areas (talked alot), well versed, had a sense of humor (like mine), and seemed as if he was very fun to be around! Since that day, I have not wanted to spend a day without him. (SHHH..he doesn't know that part) ;0)! LOL

It was a success! I had to travel 4 hours to do the trial (we moved away from where the wedding is) so I put a lot of faith in the women I booked from upstate!
I put this together tonight in about an hour. Please give me your thoughts.. I haven't finished the bottom/handle part yet, but think it needs something additional between the flowers. Babies breath,...
How did you notify guests of your Honeyfund?? Was it on the save the dates?? The invites? Word of mouth?? How well did it work out for you??
