Casey

We met in Winter of 2009 at a neighborhood bar that is still one of our favorite spots. Jon was with his friend -also named Jon- and I was with my friend Amanda. The four of us got along right away, had a great evening, laughed a lot and all exchanged numbers. There were no romantic sparks at that point- we all just knew we wanted to remain friends. A few weeks later "the other Jon" (as he will be called for the purposes of this story) ran into me at the Starbucks I was working in at the time. We made plans to hang out later that day, but alas, he got called into work- he was a bartender at the Old German Beer Hall. "we can still hang out" he said "stop by the bar, it's a Tuesday, so it won't be very busy". Of course it was jammed. So, I didn't get to hang out with the bartender according to plan. But I was there with my friend Dana, so we stuck around. Then... "Hey I know you!" - it was Jon. We talked for a long time, then as he was leaving the bar, Jon gave me his business card, and said "look me up on the Book of Face". seriously. Between the lame pick up line and the whole "stealing his friend's date" thing, it wasn't the smoothest begining. But despite it all, we ended up going on our first official date shortly after that, and have been together ever since. :o)
