Telicia's Version: I met Matt through a social networking site. He responded to me first. We started corresponding via email back and forth but at the same time I started dating someone. I end up brushing Matt off, lol, actually just forgot about him. And I figure since I never would go out with him he forgot about me as well. January, 2008 after New Year's I recently broke up with the other guy and decided to forget MEN. lol Then I see in my email box a HAPPY NEW YEAR from Mathew Nichols. I was like WHO? So, I responded back and said the same. From there we continued to chat back and forth about everything. He really intrigues me and I wanted to know more about him and why did I brush this dude off, lol. Finally, he asks me out and this time I decided not to make a excuse and met with him. I remember our first date we went to see "FIRST SUNDAY" and had McD's, lol. But we stayed in the parking lot after the movies until 3:00 am. Wow, for me that was the longest date I ever experience. If I am not mistaken the second date we was up to almost 4:00 am, yes in the parking lot just talking. Boy, can he talk : ) When We First Met Mathew's Version: I met Lisa through a social networking site in the summer of 2007. I said "hi" and asked if we could exchange e-mail addresses. We sent a few brief messages back and forth before she ended up brushing me off with a few excuses about how this was'nt a good time to meet lol. Several months pass and now it's the end of the year (Dec. 31) so I decide to see if she was still too busy to get together some time and meet. I sent her a brief e-mail saying, "Hi Lisa, I know you are very busy but I just wanted to wish you happy holidays and a prosperous New Year!!". A few days later Lisa responds wishing me happy holidays and apologizes for not communicating lately. Over the next week we exchange e-mails just about every day as we begin to learn more and more about each other. Later that week I asked her if we could hang out and catch a movie some time and she said yes. So we decide to meet at the Columbia Mall and to go see the movie "First Sunday" for our first date. This was the first time we met in person after many phone conversations and e-mails and I remember it like it was yesterday. It was Friday, January 11, 2008 and we met at the mall entrance of Sears around 7pm. The show started at 7:30 and we did'nt have enough time to sit down to eat dinner at one of the restaurants outside of the mall so we ended up getting something to eat from good ol McDonald's lol. Lisa had a fish sandwich & coke and I had a chicken nugget meal as we enjoyed each others company and conversation in the food court. Then we walked over to the theatre and continued to bond while watching the comedy of "First Sunday". After the movie we enjoyed some more conversation and time together for the next several hours leading into the next morning. When we discovered it was getting pretty late, I shook Lisa's hand, thanked her for joining me for a movie, then asked her if we could go out again some time soon and she said yes. After that first date we began to talk on the phone and exchange e-mail & text messages every day as well as go out on movie dates almost every weekend. Getting to know Lisa those first few weeks I learned that we shared a lot in common as far as likes, dis-likes, and our laid-back personalities. It was easy to admire Lisa's natural beauty on the outside and it was just as easy to admire her inner beauty too. Lisa is a strong and confident woman but she is also humble. Although she looks like a diva she does'nt act like one and that was a big relief to me lol. I love to spoil Lisa every chance I get and even though we both enjoy the finer things in life it is not a neccessity for her to receive expensive gifts every time I give her something or for us to go out to nice restaurants when we go out to eat. Lisa is just as content with the small and simple gifts I give her as she is with the more expensive gifts and that is a true testament to her character and upbringing. On our one year anniversary I gave Lisa the movie dvd "First Sunday" and she gave me a gift card to McDonald's as we reminisced our first date and our first year together.
