To make a long, drama-filled story short and sweet, we met at the beginning of our freshman year of college, and were drawn to each other buuuuut...each thought the other was or would shortly be dating someone. but we weren't and didn't, and by the end of October we had drifted into dating. He made it "official" when he said " I never actually asked you out did I? Will you go out with me?" and that was that.  Four and a half years later he surprised me with a proposal at an aquarium we both love, getting a diver in the tank tunnel to pull up a sign that said ", will you marry me?" I knew I shouldn't have challenged him by saying he wouldn't be able to surprise me but I'm so glad he did, and I'm so excited to spend the rest of our lives together.
