Wedding Caterers in Columbia

We had a great experience with Stephens College Events and Fresh Ideas. We used both Firestone Baars Chapel as our ceremony space and Kimball Ballroom (next door) as our reception space. If you want food at your event, you have to use Fresh Ideas as your caterer, but their food is very good, it's just something to be aware of. Both venues are absolutely beautiful and can support a large crowd, so large or small, your event will likely fit into these spaces. They set up the room just how we wanted it, and everything looked beautiful. The staff was great to work with, quickly responding to any concerns or questions we had both during planning and on the day of our event. It was a great experience!

This company was extremely easy to work with! They allow you to sample foods at no cost. Everyone at our wedding was talking about how great the food was (we had brisket and breast of chicken saltimbocca as the entrees. Sides were amazing too! Did not have to worry about a thing! They set it up and clean it up as well as provide staff for the event! Couldn't have chosen a better caterer!

Very professional, yet laid back. They made suggestions but wanted the day to be how we wanted it!

Highly recommend! Excellent customer service, excellent food! I have used A Catered Affair for 5 different events - some small some large and each time the food was the hit of the party! Mark and Sarah are so professional and think of every detail. In March they catered a wedding for us - and due to covid it was very complicated - but they came up with innovative, creative ways to make sure everyone was safe - the guests are still calling me to get the name of the caterers! If you have an event - big or small - they will make sure it will be the one everyone remembers.

John, is the owner of Pizza Tree and he personally handled the catering at my wedding. He took the time to sit down with me in person and talk about catering details. My (now) husband and I wanted to have pizza for our wedding reception because it's very much our personality, but John let us know that he and the other people at his restaurant are professionally trained chefs and we had the options of choosing other dishes. We did have the pizza, which John personally delivered and to ensure freshness he added the last few ingredients such as sauces and spices when he got to the venue. He did this quickly and with a smile. He also made an amazing carrot and brussel sprout side dish. I have no doubt that he and his staff could create any sort of culinary delight other than pizza. If you are looking for a unique catering service with a personal touch I would definitely contact Pizza Tree. They are so much more that just a pizza shop, they are gem in the Columbia, MO community.
