We absolutely loved having our wedding at PPR and would do it again in a heartbeat. It can be nerve racking planning a wedding so far away and not being able to discuss details in person, but our wedding coordinator, Patricia Rueda, was always so responsive and quelled any fears we may have had! We met with Patricia the day after we arrived for our wedding meeting and did an entire walk through. During our entire stay, she was always available to answer any questions. The day of the wedding went so smoothly and we had the best time!! The wedding set up was perfect and better than we could have imagined. We were very low key and did not do anything too elaborate, so if you want to go that route, Patricia and the vendors will do a fabulous job, seeing how lovely they made ours. Overall, we are so glad we made the choice to host our wedding here and recommend it to anyone else looking to do a destination wedding.

But when I was planning our wedding, I searched endlessly for a detailed, honest review and couldn’t find one. So this is for every bride lying awake at night wondering if she’s making the right decision. I was you. And I can now say with complete peace — we made the best decision of our lives. Our Wedding Coordinator – Franny Heredia There are truly not enough words to describe Franny. From the very first email, she made us feel seen, heard, understood, and completely safe. Her communication was impeccable — timely, organized, detailed, and always filled with warmth. Every call, every message, every document was handled with a level of professionalism and care that is incredibly rare. Before the resort even opened, we chose it because of her. After frustrating experiences with other resorts where communication felt distant and unclear, Franny restored our faith. She answered every single question with patience. She anticipated concerns before we even voiced them. She guided us through every decision with clarity and honesty. But what makes Franny extraordinary is not just her professionalism it’s her heart. She never made us feel like “just another wedding.” She made us feel like ours was the only one that mattered. Every detail was intentional. Every element was confirmed. Every transition flowed effortlessly. On the wedding day, everything felt like a masterpiece. Not a single detail was overlooked. The timing, the coordination, the execution — flawless. I was calm the entire day because I trusted her completely. If you are considering this resort: Contact her. Visit her. Trust her. You will feel the same peace we felt. The Ceremony (Beach Location) Breathtaking! Our Master of Ceremony delivered the most beautiful speech. Her presence was sweet, genuine, and calming. She told our story in a way that felt deeply personal and intimate. There wasn’t a dry eye. Decor – CR Flower Kenia from CR Flower worked with us months in advance, and her communication was wonderful. Her guidance truly shaped our vision. We chose tropical florals, and everything was fresh, vibrant, and alive. The colors were rich and elegant. When the ceremony décor was transitioned into the ballroom, it transformed the space completely. Despite having a smaller guest list, the room did not feel empty. It felt balanced, romantic, and luxurious. The ballroom itself is stunning — excellent air conditioning, spotless nearby restrooms, and an atmosphere that feels upscale and comfortable. Live Music – Violinist & Saxophonist The violinist performed every selected song in the exact order requested. Guests could not stop talking about how beautiful it was. His presence elevated the ceremony with elegance and emotion. The saxophonist was pure magic during the reception. He moved through the crowd, engaging guests effortlessly. Within minutes, people were dancing, laughing, and completely immersed in the celebration. The Food This was my biggest worry. We had guests traveling internationally, and after reading mixed reviews about resort food, I was extremely nervous. Let me say this clearly: Everything was incredible. Fresh. Flavorful. Beautifully presented. Every dish exceeded expectations. Our guests are still talking about how delicious everything was. The Cake I am not a cake person. But our vanilla cake with dulce de leche filling was one of the best cakes we’ve ever had. The texture was perfect. The flavor was rich but not overwhelming. The presentation was elegant. I still think about it. Reception & DJ Adding an extra hour was the best decision we made. We selected the full DJ package with lighting and dance floor, and it completely transformed the ballroom. Our group was small but culturally diverse with different musical preferences. We provided only a short “must-play” list and gave him creative freedom. He read the room flawlessly. The energy never dropped. The transitions were seamless. Every song felt perfectly timed. Guests danced the entire night. It was unforgettable. Crazy Hour We booked this as a surprise for our guests. The energy instantly exploded. The atmosphere turned electric and wildly fun. It elevated the party to another level and created some of the most memorable moments of the night. Bartenders & Servers They deserve recognition. Our guests were never without a drink. The bartenders were attentive, fast, and creative. They even approached the dance floor offering drinks so no one had to stop celebrating. Their smiles, positivity, and attentiveness elevated the entire evening. To this day, our guests still talk about the fantastic service. Hair & Makeup – Awilda Because the resort was new, I struggled to find information about hair and makeup, and I was nervous until the very last minute. Awilda was incredible, professional, fun, and attentive, she executed exactly what I envisioned. She made the entire process calm and enjoyable. I felt beautiful — but most importantly, I felt like myself. The Resort Experience The resort itself is stunning with a modern design, lively atmosphere, and excellent food and beverage options. We never had trouble finding beach beds or pool chairs. The beach is truly paradise. The restaurants were consistently great, and none of our guests experienced issues with their meals. One of our absolute favorites was Meraki. The food was outstanding, and our waiter Santo exceeded every expectation. His service left a lasting impression on our entire group. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed. Starly greeted us on our first day with warmth and kindness, making us feel like we were coming home. That first interaction set the tone for our entire stay. The Sports Bar and Piano Bar were also highlights during our stay, offering great service and entertainment for every taste. Final Thoughts Our wedding day and entire stay were not just beautiful, they were emotional, seamless, and unforgettable. Every vendor. Every staff member. Every transition. Every detail. It all came together in a way that felt almost unreal. And that is the greatest gift a bride can receive. If you are questioning your decision breathe. You are in the right place! 10/10!! I’m so glad that I found Kukua because I could not imagine having my wedding anywhere else! I got engaged July 2024, signed a contract with Kukua November 2024, and had my wedding March 2026. I originally thought I wanted to have my wedding at a resort until I found Kukua. From start to finish, the entire process was seamless & I had a HUGE weight lifted off of my shoulders thanks to Rachel, the wedding planner. She was always very clear, direct, and honest about the process and the decisions that had to be made, and being a control freak/Type A myself, it was nice to have her guidance and expertise. From the decor, the food, guest experience, she made sure we were getting everything we wanted, while still understanding our budget. We ended up inviting 120 people and had 74 show up, and Rachel always made sure to set expectations around what this would look like, It was very clear from the get go that she knew what she was doing and she always was available to answer my questions. If it wasn’t for her, I would have been be a hot mess express. The day of our wedding was nothing short of perfect. Mayte, the head designer, and David, the restaurant manager, were simply THE BEST and made me, my husband, and our bridal party feel at home. The decor was BEYOND BEAUTIFUL and made me feel like a princess in a fairy tail. Every detail was exactly what I hoped for and I wouldn’t change a thing! It ended up raining during our dinner but the Kukua team quickly pivoted, moved a few tables & chairs, and set up space inside for our first dances. We had cold fireworks planned that ended up being outside at the entrance of the dining area and it was still amazing. When the rain let up a little, they opened up the dance floor and everyone moved outside for the party. I did not have “dancing and singing in the rain” on my wedding Bingo card but I could not have asked for a better experience! It was straight out of a movie and all my guests were embracing the warm, tropical rain. It was simply the perfect ending to an unforgettable day, and I owe it all to the MC, DJ, David, Mayte, and the entire Kukua team. If I could do it over, I honestly wouldn’t change a thing. I couldn’t imagine celebrating with my loved ones anywhere else!

From our first meeting, Deborath was attentive, professional, and genuinely invested in making my daughter's dream wedding come true. Every detail, no matter how small, was handled with care and precision. She was always available to answer questions, provide guidance, and offer creative solutions that made the planning process smooth and stress-free. On the wedding day, Deborath and the entire staff at Casa De Campo exceeded our expectations. Everything ran seamlessly, allowing us to fully enjoy the day without any worries. Everything turned out absolutely amazing despite a small language barrier. This resort went over and above to accommodate every detail in our vision. ERIDANIA my wedding coordinator stayed calm even with my anxiety. Top notch experience!!!! Their in house photography studio made special accommodation to fit our request for specific timeline. Junior and Alberto were the perfect team to get the most perfect images and the attention to every detail to get that perfection was obvious. The couples massage at the spa was just amazing, every night there were activities and shows that made us feel like we in another world. This Resort and everything we experienced was EXCELLENCE.

This was the first time my husband an I had visited an all inclusive resort. We stayed at Excellence El Carmen from 08/28 - 09/04. Their facility is beautiful and their staff is excellent. We have already decided that we want to return as soon as possible.

We got married here April 2024. Prior to deciding on this resort for our wedding, we visited in April 2023 for a site inspection. We were thrilled with the state of the art facilities and amenities. The food was amazing and the staff/customer service was out of this world. I grew up going to Punta Cana and have visited many resorts, but nothing like this. We had 100 guests and we received 0 complaints from my guests regarding the resort and that says a lot. When researching resorts, prices and quality, we wanted the best and we experienced that. I would 10/10 recommend this resort.

This resort was beautiful we had our wedding their and even though the rooms were so far from the dining and beach they had these awesome trains and golf carts that picked people up to take them where they needed to go. The scenery was absolutely amazing it was well manicured, even though food selection was limited for breakfast and lunch dinner was in abundance they had Thai, Dominican, Mexican, French. Seafood, American and a Buffet, Steak and Lobster Grill and Japanese which those had a $39 charge for. Overall our wedding was amazing there and the staff was very friendly and helpful.
