We couldn't have asked for a more perfect wedding venue! The ambience is absolutely stunning. It was exactly the vibe we dreamed of for our day. The food was incredible and the service was outstanding! Everything felt thoughtful, seamless and so well cared for. Our guests couldn't stop complimenting every detail and we couldn't have asked for a better experience.

We had our wedding at Yamashiro this past weekend and I can't imagine having a better and more smoothly run night.!! From the get-go, venue coordinator Sydney was a major pro. She was responsive, friendly and full of great insight on what tends to work and what doesn't. The garden courtyard venue does a lot of heavy lifting in terms of being incredibly beautiful. But everyone was remarking on how good the food was, including the extremely popular sushi boat. We felt very taken care of all night, and the staff were so kind and personable. I assumed we'd hit a snag or two, but honestly it was all pretty much perfect in execution. We feel so fortunate we were able to choose Yamashiro as our wedding venue -- as cliche as it sounds it was a completely magical night!

Excellent food and service. Perfect place for any occasion

I don't even know where to start. Cicada and the staff are absolutely amazing. Adelmo and Rich were super responsive to my fiance and I. They made the planning of our reception so easy. We had looked at so many venues before this and were getting very discouraged. The quality of what you get at Cicada, and the price, are unmatched anywhere else. Our wedding was absolutely beautiful and was executed perfectly. Our guests loved it, and everyone commented on the level of service, the quality of food, and the charm and beauty of the venue.

This is a great, fun, and cool restaurant. It was a perfect place to have members of our wedding party who didn't know each other meet, because they have a lot of great beer and specialty drinks, and the food is great and easy to share. They let us use their patio and it was no problem seating our large party. Our only issue was getting a reservation that worked for everyone, but they were pretty good there too.

We had a really tough time finding a space for our wedding reception. The minute we walked into Candela La Brea, we knew it was the place for us. Aside from Candela’s modern look, it was already equipped with a bumping sound system, great lighting, projectors, tables, and really great furniture. We worked with Omar, Maria, Fabiola, and several members of the Candela team. Everyone was so great and accommodating from beginning to end. There were a lot of details to get through and a lot of back and forth for so many things and Omar and the crew made the whole process so smooth for us. We had to postpone our wedding and Omar and Candela worked with us to switch our date without a glitch, which was truly appreciated. We wanted our wedding celebration to be a PARTY, and Candela ended up being everything we wanted and more. We had about 165 guests and everyone fit perfectly, with a huge dance floor right in the middle. Our guests raved about Candela’s food, drinks, sound system, and how beautiful the venue looked. We rented out the front space for our cocktail hour and our guests moved into the main room for the rest of the night. We will always remember walking into Candela on the day of our wedding and seeing how beautiful everything looked from our vision finally coming together. We are so grateful to Omar, Maria, and everyone at Candela for being one of the big reasons that made our wedding day so memorable and special.

I DJ'd for a wedding at Madera Kitchen earlier this year (on 04/30/2021). I've performed for many venues throughout Southern California, but Madera Kitchen stood out as one of my favorites! The venue has a beautiful, welcoming atmosphere. It also has the perfect location in the heart of Hollywood. After their wedding ceremony at a nearby church, the couple was able to fit in wedding photos at Griffith Park and throughout Hollywood, all before cocktail hour started at Madera Kitchen. Madera's staff was professional, friendly, and helpful as well. They were very conscious of all the details that make a wedding perfect for a couple and their guests. Jennifer in particular was great with her communication, and she made the planning process way easier for me as a wedding vendor. The couple was very happy with their wedding as well! I recommend Madera Kitchen to anyone who's looking for a great atmosphere, location, and service for their wedding! -DJ Seth Vitál
