We cannot say enough good things about working with Zack and his team as the videographer for our wedding. From the very beginning, he was kind, personable, and so easy to connect with. This instantly put us at ease and made being on camera feel completely natural. We originally hired him to film our wedding day, but a few weeks before the event he reached out and offered to capture our welcome party the day before, pro bono, because he felt it would add beautifully to our final film. That gesture alone speaks volumes about the pride he takes in his work and the care he has for his clients.

On the wedding day, Zack worked seamlessly alongside our photographer. He moved with ease and professionalism while still managing to capture every important moment, including the ceremony, speeches, dances, and all the little candid interactions in between. Despite a very tight schedule, Zack was able to deliver on all the shots we requested while keeping the vibe candid and fun.

Shortly after the wedding, he surprised us with a few teaser clips that we were able to share with friends and family, and they were absolutely stunning. When the full-length video arrived, it exceeded our expectations. Zack was also incredibly responsive and made a few small edits for us right away.

Zack Chavis and his second shooter Evan filled in as our videographers through another wedding company, so while we did not experience the photography aspect, we’d definitely recommend Zack and his team for wedding videography! They were such a calm, fun, and professional presence throughout our wedding day. They made us feel completely at ease and knew exactly what to suggest in the moment to capture all the right shots. Zack was also incredibly organized during the planning process. He took the time to meet with us beforehand, listened closely to what we envisioned, and made sure everything was in place to bring that to life. Choosing a Wedding photographer and videographer is a tough decision, but Zack and Tara Chavis were a dream to work with. We booked both the videography and photography packages for our May 2025 Wedding. We knew from our first consultation meeting that we made the right choice! We had so much fun at our Engagement Photoshoot with Zack and Tara and the photos turned out GORGEOUS. We had several meetings leading up the wedding to make sure we had our timeline, photo lists and every other detail finalized. They take the time to really get to know you and how best to capture you. Zack even joined a meeting with me and my venue team to make sure we were all on the same page. Zack is a true professional and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to make sure that you get the day and memories that you want. He and Tara are also an incredibly calming presence to have on the day. To say the day went perfectly is an understatement. We had a team of Zack and Tara with 2 videographers to capture every moment. Zack and team set up a laptop at the reception with a scrolling screen of pictures taken earlier that day. We received our preview photos 2 days after the wedding, and they were incredible! You will not be disappointed when you chose Zack and Tara Weddings.

Zack and Tara are the best duo. They helped make my special day so seamless and go without a hitch. They coordinated very efficiently with my other vendors; like a well oiled machine. From the first meeting they were so helpful! Even offering support and advice for other wedding related things even if I ultimately didn't book with them. As an out of state bride, this absolutely sold me. I am so thankful that we chose them to help capture the day. I was an indecisive bride and they were so patient with me.

I am struggling to find the right words on how to describe Zack and Tara Photography but I will give it a go! It boils down to we could not have asked for better photographers. We talked with Zack and Tara over the phone for a meet and greet when we were in the process of looking for a photographer, after we hung up I said to my now husband, these two are our photographers. There was no doubt in our minds. They provided so much information (tips and tricks) for us it was incredible. We had our engagement shoot in April of 2022. That’s when we actually met Zack and Tara in person and it felt like we had known them forever. They immediately put us at ease and most importantly they let me and my fiancé (at the time) be ourselves. Our engagement pictures turned out incredible!
We could hardly wait for our wedding.

Fast forward to our wedding March 25th 2023, Zack and Tara blew us away! So did their videographer Justin. They were non intrusive and were exceptional at getting our guests to pose with such gentleness that it made it fun for everyone. Our family and friends could not stop complimenting what a wonderful job they did!

We are so happy that we chose to hire Zack and Tara for our wedding! My wife gave me one job and til this day she still mentions that she is forever in debt to me for finding Zack and Tara. They are beyond professional every step of the way but yet they become some of your closest friends. They genuinely care about your event just as much as you do if not more! They walked us through timelines, outfit changes, poses, the whole nine yards. Me and my wife are not very photogenic, we are sometimes awkward and we do not like taking pictures! But they made us feel so comfortable and guided us through everything. The pictures are of the highest quality and the video is insane!!! All of our friends and family have been raving about the quality. They say the pictures are the best they have ever seen and the video is like watching a movie! Please take my advice and just book them, I promise you will not be disappointed! They were worth every Penny and more! I can’t express how thankful I am that I found Zack and Tara! I found them randomly through googling for wedding photographers and although I had a few other photographers I was looking into, something just kept drawing me towards them. It was absolutely one of the best decisions I made for my wedding. They are just genuinely good people who are also amazing at taking photographs. They helped to make sure the wedding ran smoothly, everything was captured, and really made the whole day worry-free! My maid of honor is even using them next year for her wedding after meeting them at my wedding!

I was recommended to Zack by a friend that used him for their wedding and booking him for our wedding was hands down the easiest and best decision we ever made. At our very first consultation meeting, it was never a doubt in my mind that we were going to choose Zack to capture the most important day in our life. For our engagement shoot, rain got in the way of our original venue plan, so he recommended downtown Norfolk at the pagoda. He was absolutely right because those were some of the most amazing pictures with awesome backgrounds! All the way leading up to our wedding day, he kept an open line of communication, sent reminders, and never once made us feel stressed out. On the wedding morning, I was feeling a bit overwhelmed keeping up with timelines and everyone asking me questions, and he took the time to sit me down, get me water and talk to me about other things until I was calm enough to continue on with the day.
