Yana Shellman was an incredible photographer to work with! From the start, she made me feel at ease in front of the camera; her thoughtful questions ahead of our big day (including a detailed questionnaire) really made my wedding day run smoothly and ensured that she was able to capture every moment that was important to me. Her natural warmth made her a pleasure to work with and I cannot recommend her knowledge of and talent in her field more. I recommend her as a wedding photographer in the highest terms!

We truly cannot say enough amazing things about Yana Shellman. From the very beginning, she was everything you could ever want in a wedding photographer, and so much more.

Our wedding journey took an unexpected turn when a blizzard hit on our original date, and what could have been just a stressful and disappointing situation turned into something incredibly special because of Yana. She showed up with such a positive, calm energy and made the absolute best of the day. She took over 200 beautiful photos of us and our bridal party, capturing moments we’ll cherish forever, and she did all of that completely free of charge. That level of kindness and dedication is something we will never forget.

When we rescheduled our wedding to April 3rd, Yana didn’t hesitate. She made herself available for our new date and didn’t charge us anything extra, which truly meant so much during an already overwhelming time. It just showed us, once again, how much she genuinely cares about her couples.

On our actual wedding day, she was with us for her full-day package, and from the moment she arrived, she brought such a fun, calming, and supportive presence. She is incredibly kind, personable, and genuinely funny - she kept us laughing and relaxed all day long. We were a little nervous about posing for photos, but she made it feel so natural and effortless. She guided us every step of the way without it ever feeling forced or awkward, and somehow made us feel completely comfortable in front of the camera.

She also did an amazing job managing the flow of the day, keeping everything on track while still allowing us to fully enjoy every moment. It felt like she was not only our photographer, but also someone in our corner making sure everything went smoothly.

And then there are the photos… absolutely breathtaking. Every single image is filled with emotion, beauty, and attention to detail. She captured so many moments we didn’t even realize were happening, and looking through our gallery feels like reliving the entire day over and over again.

On top of that, her turnaround time was incredible. We received our full gallery of over 1,500 photos in less than two weeks, which completely exceeded our expectations. The quality, the quantity, and the speed, everything was beyond impressive.

Yana is not only unbelievably talented at what she does, but she is also one of the most genuine, caring, and dedicated people we’ve had the pleasure of working with. She went above and beyond for us in every possible way, and we feel so lucky to have had her as part of our wedding.

If you’re considering booking her - do it. We would recommend her a thousand times over without hesitation!!

This review is long overdue, but we cannot say enough great things about working with Yana for our June 2025 wedding!! Yana was communicative and thorough leading up to the wedding day, and we felt like she had a great understanding of what pictures/moments captured were important to us. Yana was an excellent communicator day-of, and kept us and our wedding party on our timeline. Yana delivered our "sneak peeks" within 3 days and had the entire wedding album beautifully edited and returned within two weeks- we were SO impressed and grateful!! Our pictures were everything we could have asked for and more. Highly recommend the experience of working with Yana!!

What can I say besides Yana is the absolute best!!!!! First of all, she is the sweetest and most kind person ever. She is so professional yet feels like your best friend. Our entire family and bridal party fell in love with Yana on my wedding day. It was such a joy to share such a special day with Yana. Every time I look back on my wedding photos or engagement photos, I am blown away by how amazing they are. My husband and I cannot wait to have Yana photograph our family in the future!

Yana was incredible and so easy to work with! Throughout the entire planning process she was responsive, professional, accommodating and mostly enthusiastic! From our engagement shoot to our wedding day, she made us feel comfortable and directed us with ease to get incredible photos. Yana is amazing! She is so sweet and talented. She made shooting a breeze and we both felt comfortable in front of the camera. If you are looking for amazing photos, a positive and relaxed planning experience and the best energy on your wedding day then Yana Shellman is your answer. We can’t say enough wonderful things about Yana! First she has the brightest and most positive energy and every time you speak with her she will energize you and excite you for your big day. Second she is a trooper, i really wanted our photos outside but it was freezing, snowing and super windy and Yana made it happen. She is also extremely detailed oriented and provides a wonderful sense of calm to a crazy morning by taking all the concern out of making sure you get all the pictures you want. Her work speaks for itself, her photos are beautiful and perfectly capture the feelings we shared on our special day. You can’t go wrong hiring yana on such an important day you will be happy you did.

This review is incredibly late, and I apologize. But I need to tell the world about the amazing experience I had with Yana Shellman as my wedding photographer. Normally, I am a casual photographer and am always the one taking pictures at events. So when I needed a photographer for my wedding, I was very anxious to find someone who would capture everything I would want and not miss a single detail. I found this reliability in Yana Shellman. Originally scheduled on May 1, 2021, we postponed due to COVID (which was a good decision as if we had continued, we would have not been allowed a dance floor) to August 14, 2021. We initially booked Yana Shellman in 2020 and knew from the first phone call that her fun personality and laughter put us at ease, especially my now husband who gets sick of photos very quickly. We had our engagement photos in September 2020 in LBI and solidified our opinion that we made the right call. Yana is amazing at making you laugh, feel comfortable, and have fun during photos. She even got many great shots of our dog, Lyla, and bunny, Thumper. Throughout the planning process, Yana was available for any questions including providing a photographer's day timeline to help build my timeline based on. I never felt alone and knew I had an expert to turn to with any questions. On the wedding day, Yana was above excellent and I do not and will never regret putting our faith in her. Yana not only kept us laughing and smiling but did so herself on a 104-degree summer day. Our photos came out better than we could have ever dreamed and Yana made sure to capture all of our guests having a blast and all of the little details I worked so hard to create. I constantly see my wedding photos on my walls and family's and instantly know how blessed I was to have met Yana. I cannot wait to work with her again in the future for family sessions. Thank you so much, Yana, from the bottom of my heart, for making our day extra magical and captured beautifully.

Yana Shellman is not only an amazingly talented photographer, but also the kindest and most hardworking person. She is my new role model and I seriously aspire to be like her!! Yana is joy, artistic talent, organization, stamina personified. Even if you are camera shy or awkward, she makes you feel like a million bucks and makes the whole process very fun and natural. She is super detailed, keeps time, and plans the photo schedule so that you don’t have to worry about a thing. She is also the world’s fastest photo editor and you will get pictures, and TONS of them, much sooner than you think. Honestly, we would have paid much more than her price, she is the best! She will be our go-to photographer for many years to come!

She is hands down the sweetest person my husband and I have ever met! We absolutely loved
working with her! Yana is very welcoming and easy to be around. She guides you through the whole process from wedding day timelines to posing you for photos seamlessly. I know my husband and I were nervous about how to pose going into engagement session and she made us feel at ease. Wedding day went perfectly and I couldnt imagine booking anyone else! The photos came out beautifully and were turned around quickly! We look forward to continue to use Yana for future photoshoots! HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend booking Yana for your wedding!
