About

This handsome 18th century stone farmhouse contains a unique operation, which offers numerous services. The house is beautifully preserved and is fully furnished with period antiques. A restaurant wing with flagstone terrace has been added, providing both ambiance and convenience. Surrounded by well-groomed grounds and landscaping, Wyndham is a bit of an oasis in the middle of the Main Line.

Our award winning restaurant is open to the public for lunch Monday through Friday offering a buffet and A la Carte selections. The menu is changed daily to provide fresh and seasonal variety. Luncheon is very reasonably priced. Although we do not sell alcohol, our guests are welcome to bring their own; there is no additional fee for this service. If you have never dined with us, the restaurant is a wonderful opportunity to see how delicious the food is.

As a Bed & Breakfast, Wyndham has seven very quiet and comfortable guestrooms available for let. Each room has a private bath and the essential modern accessories including wireless Internet and cable television. Our nightly rate is $119.00 which includes an extended continental breakfast service.

Our catering and meeting services are as multifaceted as the building itself. With a courteous staff and gracious setting, Wyndham is the perfect location for any social or corporate affair. We purposely offer a large array of menu items so that each affair can be tailored to your needs. Wyndham comfortably accommodates a seated dinner-dance for 120, or a Moveable Feast for as many as 150 guests. We can also serve a small gathering for as few as 30 people, perfect for a rehearsal dinner. The variety of options is numerous; please look at our web site for specifics. You are allowed to provide the alcohol and we will provide all of the service and catering.

Finally, we also provide take-out food service feeding anywhere from six to sixty guests. We call it the “Back Door Caterer”. Please call 610-526-7555 for more information about any of our services.

The campus of Bryn Mawr is so absolutely stunning and pleasantly photogenic. it makes a perfect site of both indoor and outdoor ceremonies. The Wyndham house itself can also accommodate a small number of guests. It is so much cheaper than most hotels in this area/Philly and provides peaceful tranquility that is much needed during a stressful time.

My daughter, Heather's wedding ceremony took place in the Music Room at the Goodhart building. Originally we were planning to have the ceremony in the Sunken Garden (beautiful), but due to inclement weather we had to move the ceremony indoors.
The building itself has a gothic flair and is absolutely incredible with its tremendous doors and archways. The Music Room is a wonder in and of itself, and the archways you walk through to get to the music room set the stage. We had approximately 115 to 120 people (including bridal party), and a String Quartet in the room and we did not feel over crowded. The staff at the Wyndham House (specifically Sandra Donahue) was a pleasure to work with. This being my first daughter getting married, I was somewhat clueless as to how things should be done with regards to the ceremony. Sandra was so helpful with suggestions and advice, and she is just so pleasant and friendly. She met with my daughter and myself on numerous occasions to walk us through the Sunken Garden and the Music Room and go over details until we were absolultely sure how it was all going to play out. Sandra's staff was pleasant to work with as well. Megan and Malate, thank you for your kindness and helpfulness. Although we did not have the reception at the Wyndham House, (we had already booked with another vendor) we were exceptionally happy with the ceremony and our guests made many wonderful comments about the ambiance surrounding the ceremony in the Music Room of the Goodhart building. Truly a wonderful experience. Thank you again Sandra, Megan and Malate for a memorable day. My daughter was so happy, even in the rain. When my daughter is happy, I am happy too.

We were so pleased with our wedding reception at the Wyndham. From the initial venue tour to the fine details during the reception, the staff at the Wyndham was supportive and overly accommodating. The old home setting is warm and inviting and needs very little extra decorating. We were able to put up family photos to make it feel like a "home away from home" for our guests. The food was spectacular (not the typical large crowd "buffet" food). The covered outdoor dance floor was well lit and completed the warm, home feeling. A wonderful unique venue and a great find!!

Wyndham staff were accommodating and exceptional. I appreciated how important my satisfaction was. The day went off without a hitch and everyone who attended my wedding complimented me on everything from the venue to the food to the service. I really enjoyed working with Sandra Donohue, the event coordinator for Wyndham. She was accommodating and welcoming!

The food was cooked-well and was made with quality ingredients. It even tasted better on the day of than when I was tasting it to choose the menu, so that was a pleasant surprise! It just shows how much effort is put in: even after the check is cashed they are still wooing you!
The dinner buffet was well-presented and well-organized.
The staff and chefs were attentive and gracious hosts.
I wasn't nickel and dimed on anything: the inclusive rates made the wedding cost relatively painless.
Sandra kept me organized and on top of things, so I never went Bridezilla!

The ability to BYO alcohol was a great cost-saver, and because I was required to take any excess liquor home there was no waste.

I was working on a budget: Sandra was very flexible and open to working within that budget. There was no pressure for extras and frills.

Overall I give it an A+, and I'm recommending Wyndham to all my friends.

The Wyndham provided me with a wedding I had only dreamed about - in every aspect they provided me with wonderful service. I think the best part of Wyndham is that they stressed their intent on making my event completely unique, and doing everything they could to attain that goal. Amazing.

I can say enough how wonderful the Wyndham House was for my wedding. I should start by saying, you DO NOT have to be an alumnus to use their facilities. Also, becasue of how they are set up, my wedding was considerably less expensive than it could have been and yet was 10 times nicer. The venue is a fabulous old stone home with and addition that hosts the dining area. There is a lovely terrace off the Dining Room which looks out across the lawns of the college. You rent the venue and then use a caterer for the dinner, however, they are the only approved caterer (sounds bad, but it is really great). The food is fabulous and the cost is about a 1/3 less than most of the area caterer's . Plus becase they are a caterer, you purchase your own alcohol for your event which is a significant savings (plus the local wine and spirits store will deliver for you). Since the venue and the caterer work through the same place, you only ned to consult with one person. Additionally, they allow so much latitude with regards to decorating and whatever you need. My florist and decorator's were allowed enomorous access to the home for adding their touches. My wedding ceremony was actually held in the music room and with the bank of windows at teh head of the room, it was a beautiful backdrop. But be aware that the music room can only accomodate approx. 80 people seated and it is a bit tight at 80. I highly recommend the Wyndam House at Bryn Mar College.

The location was most important to me. Wyndham is a beautiful wedding location with amazing outdoor space. Best for smaller weddings (under 100 guests).
