This past weekend, Woods Hill Pier 4 hosted my daughter's rehearsal dinner and welcome party with a full buy out of the restaurant. The food, the ambiance, the service were all amazing. My guests couldn't stop raving about the unique passed appetizers, raw bar and gourmet sandwiches. From my first contact with their Event Planner, Hilary , to the final touches the day of the event, she was responsive, creative and collaborative. She always got back to right away with answers to all of my questions so I never for a moment questioned our decision to book Woods Hill for such an important day in my daughter's life.

We could not have asked for a better experience with Woods Hill! From the very beginning, the team was exceptionally communicative—every question, detail, and idea we had was met with quick, thoughtful responses. Hilary was absolutely amazing! Her responsiveness made the process smooth and stress-free.
Everyone that helped with our day was so nice and accommodating, whether it was adjusting timelines, accommodating last‑minute changes (like taking photos in the restaurant because it was 10 degrees outside), or helping us personalize the space to match our vision. The team was organized and helpful. They made the type A bride in me feel at ease.
Beyond the team at Woods Hill, the venue is gorgeous and the food is delicious. We were able to save money on decorations because the space spoke for itself and our guests are still raving about the food and drinks. If we were to do it all over again we would be back at Woods Hill! I can’t say enough great things!

We worked closely with the events manager, Hilary, who was thoughtful, responsive, and instrumental in bringing our vision to life. We chose a family-style dinner menu, and our families are still raving about how incredible the food was. The welcome party was packed, and our guests wouldn't stop commenting on the delicious food and drinks. Throughout the entire process and event, the Woods Hill team was professional, attentive, and an absolute pleasure to work with. We would recommend this venue to anyone!

As a wedding planner, I would highly recommend Woods Hill Pier 4. The communication was top notch, the service was timely and professional, the atmosphere was amazing and all the guests were raving about the food and drinks. I am going to be sending all my clients their way!

We hosted our wedding dinner at Woods Hill Pier 4 in the Cupola and everything was absolutely incredible!! From the entire planning process with Emily, through dessert- we couldn’t have been more impressed. When our guests arrived, they enjoyed the beautiful views of the water and Boston skyline, cocktails on the patio, & hors d’oeuvres brought out and passed around by servers. For the main meal, we chose “Family Style” rather than the plated option-which we loved. Our family still raves about the food and we were very happy that it was all locally/sustainably sourced. They were also very attentive to allergies/dietary restrictions. We also brought in some pictures/decorations for the room and chose to do our first dances out by the water. We had our wedding in the Cupola Room at Woods Hill Pier 4 in late December, and it was absolutely perfect. Planning a Boston wedding all the way from Oregon could have been a challenge, but the team at Woods Hill Pier 4 made it so easy. They were incredibly organized and clear about every detail, responding quickly to all our questions and requests. Their professionalism and willingness to accommodate us made the process smooth and stress-free, and we felt confident everything would go perfectly—and it absolutely did.
On the day of the wedding, the team truly went above and beyond to make everything special. The Cupola Room created an elegant and intimate atmosphere, with stunning views that added to the magic of the evening. The staff made us and our guests feel so welcome and taken care of—it was such a wonderful experience from start to finish.
The room was setup to accommodate our small ceremony ahead of dinner, with plenty of space to have our ceremony without feeling cramped and then the same with our table setup. Our custom menus on the place settings was the perfect finishing touch. We coordinated a champagne toast post ceremony and Woods Hill Pier 4 ensured that happened without a hitch.
For our tasting dinner with eight guests, the Lodge Menu was the perfect fit for us to select our menu, but still provide a balance for our guests to have their individual preferences. We added a pasta course, and it was such a great decision. This extra course really elevated the meal and gave our guests even more to enjoy. For the main course, we were able to pull from their main menu along with the Ledge options to ensure our guests would have the options they needed. Each dish was executed perfectly. Dessert was just as memorable.
The wine pairings we chose from their cellar, including the Gaston Chiquet ‘Special Club’ Champagne and Jacques-Frederic Munier Pinot Noir, complemented the meal beautifully. In addition, the thoughtful blend of cocktails, and beer selections made sure every guest was happy with something that suited their individual preferences.
Woods Hill Pier 4 exceeded all of our expectations, and we couldn’t imagine a better place to celebrate. The combination of incredible food, attentive service, and a beautiful setting made it truly unforgettable. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique and memorable venue, especially for those planning from afar—you’ll be in excellent hands!

My husband and I wanted a smaller wedding, as an avid guest at Woodshill it was my first choice as our reception location. If you have ever been for dinner you know how amazing the food is, but if you have not take my word that the food is unmatched in its presentation, quality, and taste. The food is farm to table from their personal farm or locally sourced. Every person at my wedding raved about the food, I kept hearing “this is the best food I have ever had at a wedding”. This of course was no surprised to me but I was so happy to share the food experience with my guest. The food is served family style but don’t be fooled by the term as the presentation was so pretty it was far from just a plate of food. There was plenty of food to go around from the passed apps to the three courses we chose. My table was not even able to finish what was served!

The venue itself is gorgeous. The views of the ocean is breathtaking both during the day and at night. The aesthetic inside is so beautiful all I added was some centerpieces on each table. A little goes a long way here! It also makes it so much less stressful when all you have to add is a few flowers, the restaurants beauty does the rest!

I worked with Emily to curate a menu of food and drinks as well as plan out all the details of the night. She was so thoughtful and kind and had great communication skills. She was quick to respond via email or phone and is super knowledgeable. She had great recommendations and was easily able to guide me to making the perfect night! The staff was super attentive and professional all night making the most delicious cocktails, serving, resetting and transitioning from each course seamlessly.

I can’t recommend Woodshill enough, it made the perfect place to gather our family and celebrate our wedding.

When my husband and I got engaged, we knew we wanted our wedding to flow organically from ceremony into reception, and for the evening to feel like a big party with our favorite people.

To say that Woods Hill Pier 4 surpassed our expectations would be an understatement. There is not one thing we would have changed: the leisurely cocktail hour-and-a-half (appetizers are our favorite!), the AMAZING food stations, the unique and not-too-sweet craft cocktails, the organic flow of the night — everything was even better than we had imagined. The Woods Hill team were all so lovely and outgoing. The energy and 5-star service provided added so much to the night. Nearly 2 years later, our guests still talk about the staff, food, and location!

We were so lucky to have had Hilary and her team to collaborate with at each step of the process. Hilary has many years of event planning experience, and it shows. She is so organized and thoughtful. Each suggestion she made was tailored to our vision, and when we arrived to the restaurant the day of our wedding, she had attended to every single detail. It was perfect.

If you are thinking of having your wedding at Woods Hill, we cannot recommend it enough. We wish we could do it all over again!

We hosted our wedding at Woods Hill Pier 4 this summer and are so glad we did! The staff is AMAZING! They were incredibly professional, attentive, and had the right amount of fun with our guests! Our guests still haven’t stopped raving about the great cocktails and food! If you are thinking of hosting your wedding or event at WHP4 I’d highly recommend, they will not disappoint!

Hilary, Emily and the team are a pleasure to work with! Hilary was incredibly responsive and knowledgeable. She gave great suggestions and was flexible if we wanted to do something a little different! She was accommodating to our asks and she made it the perfect day we’ll never forget!!
