Windy River Farm lies amidst the gentle slopes of the foothills surrounding Jay Peak, with the mountain’s iconic silhouette cutting a dark figure against the clear, blue sky. All around, a land of vibrant, undisturbed nature awaits, inviting guests to relax and unwind in the calm of the wilds. At its heart rest the properties Barn, a characterful and historic venue that has played host to many big days. Built in 1901, it is a classic example of a post and beam structure whose distinctive Gothic arched roof provides a slice of pure rural Americana. Inside, a spacious setting awaits with room for up to 250 friends and family who can dine banquet-style before dancing the night away. Guests will be left speechless by the stunning grandeur of the Barn’s Versailles chandeliers. Ornate, and featuring flowing, natural metalwork, they are bold statement pieces that crown the space and elevate any event. The space features an expansive bar, and there is a wrap-around where attendees may take a breath of fresh air and enjoy the views. Indeed, the property is a postcard-perfect shot of New England and presents many lush backdrops for a wedding photoshoot.

Best venue!
The interior barn space, cocktail barn, and ceremony fields are incredible. The replica chandeliers inside the barn, eclectic artwork and pieces, and amazing chairs and tables bring the space to a new level of grandeur. We are so thankful to have had our wedding here, and our wedding size of 140 was able to fit comfortably and were all taken by the incredible beauty of the venue and the meticulous detail put into the space. If we were to have 100 weddings, they would all be here. Thank you so much for making our day that much more special!
A dream come true!
Our wedding took place in the upper field overlooking the beautiful mountains. We hosted an hour and half cocktail reception in the cocktail barn featuring our favorite local band Sibling Reverie, the space was relaxing and intimate, perfect for our guests to sip and graze.
The main barn where dinner and our reception was held is beyond stunning. The chandeliers are absolutely breathtaking, and allow for the most simple décor. Our guests were stunned by both our venue and the food provided by For The Love Of Food Catering. Cassy made our dreams come true with our fair food theme, all the way from fried chicken to mini fried dough bites and maple milk shakes.
The owners of Windy River Farm, Marion and Will made us feel so special, just like family. They were more than accommodating, always available whenever we needed anything. They are constantly investing in the barn – from the time we toured to our special day there were so many new improvements, including the groomsman’s room and the cocktail seating in the main barn. We cannot recommend Windy River Farm enough for your next special event.
