Hi, I'm Christy, the heart and storyteller behind The Wild & Woven Lens, a wedding and portrait photography business based near Indianapolis, Indiana.

What makes my work different traces back to an unexpected place: a college seminar on fairytales. I studied psychology at Butler University, and that class, digging into the deeper meaning and lessons tucked inside old fairytales, completely changed how I think about storytelling. It's where the idea for this business was born. I don't just take pictures; I help tell your story, the same way those old tales were told, with heart, honesty, and a little bit of magic.

I specialize in weddings, engagements, and Keepsake portrait sessions throughout the Indianapolis, Carmel, and Westfield area. Whether you're planning an intimate elopement or a full day celebration with all your favorite people, my goal is the same: to capture the real moments, not just the posed ones. The nervous laugh before you walk down the aisle. The way your partner looks at you when they think no one's watching. Those are the images you'll treasure decades from now.

My approach to working together is genuinely personal. Clients often tell me that working with me feels like collaborating with a friend. I want every couple to feel completely comfortable and entirely themselves in front of my lens. The Wild & Woven Lens is proudly LGBTQ+, BIPOC, and neurodivergent friendly. I've had the privilege of working with couples from every kind of background and love story.

My editing style is true to color, muted, and a little moody. Every gallery includes a mix of color, black and white, and grainy, vintage toned images alongside timeless classics, so your photos feel like they could belong to any era. I hand edit every single photo myself rather than relying on batch presets, because your gallery deserves that same personal attention as everything else.

I'm based in Westfield and love working with couples throughout the greater Indianapolis area, including Carmel, Fishers, Noblesville, and Zionsville, though I'm always happy to travel further.

Packages range from The Fable for intimate elopements and micro weddings, to The Folktale for full day coverage, up to The Whole Fairytale for everything and more.
