I can't say enough amazing things about working with Alex! She is an extremely talented photographer: her photos were beautiful & romantic, and she made some completely standard backdrops look magical. She did a great job of making everyone feel comfortable without being too invasive. I really liked that she read our cues and did fewer staged photos and more candids, since that's what we wanted. I've been in a lot of weddings where you feel like you are taking photos for hours, but Alex was efficient and so I never felt that way. On top of that, she's a cool person that I genuinely enjoyed spending time with!

I looked at probably 100 photographer websites before finding Alex, and I am so happy I chose her. Her photos were so good that one of my friends saw them and recommended her to another bride. Highly recommend!

We have received all of our photos back and couldn't believe how beautiful they are! We love them all and it was so hard to pick what ones made it into our album. Every single part of our day was captured so perfectly. We get to relive the day every time we look at them! Alex made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera. I highly recommend an engagement session as well- this was great practice and a lovely chance to get to know Alex. Extra perk- great pics for our save the dates! Alex was also just a huge help throughout the entire day. If she is not photographing you, she is behind the scenes assisting to make sure every detail is perfect. She goes above and beyond her role. I truly can’t say enough good things about Alex!! We booked Alex for our engagement photos and our wedding and during that time covid hit, one of our venues fell through, and we had to change our date several times. Alex was so sweet and understanding throughout the process and made a stressful time so much easier for us. After our engagement shoot I was blown away with how comfortable she made us feel and her attention to detail in every shot. We are super camera shy and she made it effortless for us. We just finally had our wedding and got some of the teaser photos back and the way Alex captured all of the joy of the day made me cry immediately when looking at them. On top of being a great photographer she was super organized, made sure we were always on schedule, and made me feel super relaxed the whole day. I don't think I would have survived wedding panning - maybe even my wedding day - if it wasn't for Alex! I like to think of Alex as part photographer, part wedding planner, and part bridal attendant - she did it all!

She gave us so many amazing recommendations for different vendors, helped us create our full timeline for the big day, and constantly made sure we were doing alright during the wedding. Both my husband and I are generally awkward/ uncomfortable in front of a camera, but Alex made us feel completely at ease and we had a blast taking our engagement and wedding day photos with her. She is also incredible intuitive and could tell right away during photos if I was feeling overwhelmed and she would call for breaks which was awesome!

I would recommend Alex to anyone who needs a photographer for any occasion! I had the pleasure of working with Alex for a fall mini session and my intimate wedding. She was very helpful when I was trying to find a photographer on a budget for my wedding and helped me figure out a schedule to keep on time and get all the pictures I wanted with family. I got the most beautiful pictures to have the memory of that day. A great bonus was when my husband and I got home we already had a sneak peak from Alex of some of the pictures which was so fast and great to have!

Alex is a phenomenal photographer and we could not have asked for anyone better to work with! My husband and I had such a great time with Alex at our engagement shoot and our wedding, which is saying something because my husband hates getting his photo taken. She was so flexible and understanding as we navigated postponing and then downsizing our wedding. Alex Healy was an absolute dream to work with for my mid-August wedding! She was so helpful in the run-up to the wedding, answering questions and crafting timelines for me, the wedding novice. She was so kind when we had to keep moving our engagement shoot due to work and the pandemic and was so flexible in coming out to us a few days before the wedding. I had far more fun at the engagement shoot than I thought I would- I was stressed with wedding stuff and thought it would be awkward posing in front of someone I'd never met in person before. On the contrary, Alex makes you feel like you've been friends for a long time and totally put us in the right mindset.

As for the day of, she was so clutch in keeping things moving, all while being friendly, helpful, and unobtrusive. Anything I needed or any question I had, I knew Alex was my girl. Impressively, she got us our wedding preview gallery nearly immediately and well... just WOW. She captured some absolutely beautiful shots that I can't wait to share and frame. I'd use her again in a heartbeat and am already thinking about future occasions where I can use her skills!

My fiancé and I are both military and planned our wedding from a far, mostly using the Knot’s reviews. The photographer was the most important to us and when we were looking at the work of artists in the Hudson Valley we absolutely loved the soft feel of Alex’s pictures. You could feel the emotion of each moment without looking at an overly edited picture. They all looked so natural and beautiful. When we opened our gallery after the wedding we were blown away by how perfectly she captured every moment with just enough editing to make it look even more gorgeous.

Working with Alex was incredible. She is so punctual when it came to answering phone calls, texts, and emails. She knows how wedding planning can be stressful and her process just makes it so easy. She sent us a questionnaire to help tailor which photos and what “looks” we were going for. She also used this to draft a timeline for our day which was great because we had no idea how to line up each event and where to tell everyone to go. Her online portal is so great for handling contracts and payment. Her gallery is also an awesome way for you to quickly see pictures (did I mention we got our previews within 24 hours of our wedding??? And it wasn’t just two or three, there were a bunch to enjoy!!) and we were able to share easily with family and friends so they didn’t bug us for a ton for pictures.
