Hanel was an absolute pleasure to work with from the moment we met him- He is extremely professional while still being warm and kind in a way that sets you at ease and makes you excited and comfortable in the present moment. The package we chose included an engagement shoot. We had never done a photo-shoot before and definitely had never worked one on one with a professional photographer so to say we were nervous is an understatement. The engagement shoot was our first time truly experiencing how talented Hanel is and we were beyond blown away by his ability to make us feel comfortable and enjoy the moment as a couple. Hanel effortlessly directed us from where we should lay our hands, how to stand and to where we should look to create that perfectly romantic shot. When our wedding came a year later I was confident and excited that Hanel was the one capturing our special day. Hanel was everything we'd ever hoped for and more in the photographer capturing our day. Hanel was able to snap the most gorgeous and unique photos that made our hearts swell when we saw our gallery. I also must say his ability to work in different environments is quite amazing. My bridal party and myself were running 4 hours behind and in November that means little to no natural light and that gave me such anxiety but Hanel was able to capture BEAUTIFUL pictures using his techniques, team and years of experience. We’ve gotten and continue to get numerous compliments from our bridal party, family and friends about how on point Hanel’s direction was as well as his level of professionalism. Hanel is able to use the surrounding venue/space to create unique pictures that will make your jaw drop. Our venue was the Palace at Somerset Park and there are many cookie cutter pictures that all couples take there but Hanel has such a unique eye that even the staff at the Palace was impressed by his ability to capture moments differently and better than large wedding photography companies. If I was nervous or concerned leading up to the wedding I was able to easily contact him directly and express my concerns and every single time Hanel would respond in a timely manner with great suggestions and words of comfort. We hired Hanel on the recommendation of another couple and it worked out perfectly. Hanel and his team worked tirelessly to get the perfect pictures of our wedding which was in late June 2025 in NYC and the heat was pretty high. I recommend any couple to take time and answer his worksheet as much as possible to make the process seamless. Hanel and his team not only captured amazing photos but was crucial for making me and and my spouse feel comfortable through the entire process. I've seen Hanel's work for 3 weddings before my own. I knew from the first wedding that I would one day hire him to capture mine - it was a no brainer! Not only are his photos absolutely stunning and timeless, but he is also such a pleasure to work with. (The best combo!) From virtual meetings planning how the day will flow and on the actual wedding day itself, he will help guide you through everything. He pays attention to the details that are important to you as the client, all while making sure he captures your wedding day perfectly.

Wedding days move very quickly and things can get overwhelming, but Hanel's understanding of how wedding days flow allows him to take care of you as the bride & groom. Although he is working, he makes sure you also get to enjoy your big day and not get too caught up in all the business—this was something we really appreciated. Him and his team will go above and beyond and make sure there is nothing you have to worry about.

ALL of Hanel's work is beautiful and intentional. He even provides such a unique experience when viewing your full gallery once it's ready. My husband and I will never forget how we felt seeing all our photos for the first time. Our wedding is a day we wish we could relive again and again, and the photos he captured did exactly that.

Hanel is the absolute BEST! He was very responsive when we initially reached out and immediately put us at ease. We booked him first for engagement photos, and we got along really well. He made us feel comfortable and relaxed even though we both get weird around cameras. The photos were great!

For our wedding, he helped us plan our shot list, showed up early to the venue, and took incredible photos. I can't say enough about how he captured the joy and overall vibes of our wedding ceremony and celebration.

On top of all that, he is quick to get the photos back!

Booking Hanel was the best decision we made. We worked with him for both our engagement shoot and wedding, and cannot recommend him highly enough.

His quality of work speaks for itself - absolutely phenomenal. But what you can't see from just looking at his photos is how amazing he is to work with. We booked Hanel for both our engagement shoot and wedding. We cannot say anymore great things about him. His email responses were timely, thorough and it was incredibly easy to set up time to meet with him to discuss his and our visions.

My husband and I are not camera people in the slightest, and often make silly faces in order to balance our awkwardness.
However, Hanel and his assistant made us feel at ease during both shoots, and gave easy directions for us to follow throughout that ultimately made us feel confident and comfortable in front of the camera. They were so welcoming/friendly, and we felt like we were just hanging out with our friends for the day.

Hanel was able to handle the chaos that were my family and friends on the wedding day, and easily navigated all the different groupings for photos the day of with immense ease. He kept to our wedding timeline without making us feel rushed.

Our photos were sent back to us quickly after a month, and they were absolutely gorgeous. I had never felt so beautiful in my life (neither has my husband) and Hanel was able to capture those feelings forever for us.

We highly, HIGHLY recommend Hanel! He was the very best and was recommended to us by another friend, also a photographer. From the beginning, we really loved working with him. He made us feel very comfortable during our video consultation and in-person chat: answered all our questions, set expectations, guided us through how photography and videography would work at our wedding, and just had such a warm, patient, kind, and professional demeanor.

He walked us through the entire process, was extremely responsive, and gave us suggestions when we weren’t sure what to do with our photo timeline. During the wedding, he was a pillar of support and directed group photos well, which can get crazy if you have a large family like I do. He went above and beyond and even offered me and a bridesmaid a ride to the wedding venue—seriously, what other person would do that?!? HANEL! He was extra generous with his time and ended up staying longer at our wedding than necessary to finish taking group photos. He simply did everything out of the kindness of his heart and always went the extra mile. We were blown away by his commitment to our wedding.

We also decided to go with Wedding by Hanel because of the extra care and creative detailing in his photos. Our engagement photos and wedding album were gorgeous! We loved the photo quality and felt so lucky to have him as our photographer and videographer. He captured all the important moments and highlighted the beauty of that day. His work is immaculate and we recommend him to everyone we know!

Hanel and his team are true professionals! The eye him and his team have for catching the beauty in every moment is outstanding. We are in awe with the work they provide. Not only is the output artistic and amazing, their kindness and patience is incredible. Day of my wedding, I was stressed out - until Hanel walked in. Hanel and his team (Mike, Levy) are truly experts in their field, and I am beyond grateful for their efforts during our wedding day. Hanel really took the time to understand what is important to my husband and I, and helped navigate all of our requests within our jam packed schedule. From the beginning of the day to the very end, Hanel and team were always nearby and full of energy, capturing all the big and little moments of us and our guests. I felt like a celebrity/model for the day, with the ease of a seasoned coach to guide me through poses. From detail shots to our first look, portraits to group shots, dancing, cake cutting, catching up with guests, and everything in between - Hanel and team were there and ready (with superb lighting I may add).
