Weathervane

Couples can celebrate their wedding weekend along the Charlevoix, Michigan, waterfront at the historic Weathervane restaurant. Generations of locals and visitors have stopped by Weathervane since it opened in the 1950s to sample the delights of the Great Lakes flavors and to honor an occasion they will talk about for the rest of their lives. What was once a mill in the 1800s is now a marvel of historic stonework, distinctive architecture, and glorious views of the Channel and its passing boats.

Facilities and Capacity

Weathervane is a small, intimate venue that typically accommodates weddings of up to 60 guests. However, the option of a full restaurant buyout is available for larger gatherings. If intimate and cozy is what's required, then the Channel Room is ideal. It is the largest private venue at Weathervane and sits on the lower level alongside a private deck and bar overlooking the water. High on modern design and Northern Michigan charm, it accommodates 60 people for a wedding ceremony or reception. Alternatively, the Pine River Room seats 16 guests while the Round Lake Room houses 30, and both spaces are popular haunts for rehearsal dinners and small receptions.

Cuisine

Taking advantage of the nearby Great Lakes, the culinary team at Weathervane can design a bespoke menu of freshwater favorites for each celebratory occasion. Steaks, salads, sandwiches, and seasonal dishes are also available, as well as artisanal boards, burgers, soups, and more. Nearlyweds can arrange a private meeting with a member of the Weathervane team to discuss their big day plans and piece together an unforgettable feast.
