With a few weeks left before my big day, I was still in need of a present to give my fiancé at our wedding. When a girlfriend suggested a boudoir shoot, I knew that's exactly what I wanted to do. With that said, I've never had my photo taken professionally beyond my headshot for work, and certainly never where I was wearing nothing but my underwear. So I was excited, but also harbored some trepidation.
To say that Valerie made me feel comfortable and beautiful is an understatement. Her studio is AMAZING - the natural light brightens the white washed walls and chic décor (all very white, with some pale pink and grey touches) to create the most incredible backdrop for her photos. Valerie was the embodiment of professionalism, while still maintaining a humor that set me at ease. When I received the proofs of my shoot, I nearly called Victoria's Secret to ask why I hadn't been scouted yet for their next catalog. Okay, that's an exaggeration, but I felt SO GOOD ABOUT MYSELF. Valerie made me feel confident, sexy and so dang excited to give my fiancé the photos. Side benefit, I will also be keeping these photos to remind myself that I am a strong, beautiful woman.
