Ilona & Jeff brought true magic to our outdoor wedding in Joshua Tree national park this spring. They mastered “wildflowers” and “here comes the sun” as requested and played 2 hours of joyful tunes that our guests absolutely loved during cocktail hour. The violin ukelele combo is truly unique and magical and our guests raves about the unique and playful ambiance it brought to that special moment. These tunes truly made our first married hours extra special.

We went out on a limb slightly over our budget for this but have no regrets! Guest have reached out to tell me how much they loved that part of the wedding. They were a great team, smooth communication, and timely and professional. Highly recommended to add a special musical touch to any event.

Ilona and Jeffmost definitely exceeded the high expectations we set for our beach wedding!! They did an amazing job playing violin & ukulele music before, during and after our wedding ceremony. After that first hour, they added percussion for the coctail hour. My husband loves 90s alternative, and so do many of our guests. They were delighted and surprised to hear Soundgarden's Black Hole Sun and Led Zeppelin's Kashmir alongside symphonies and Hawaiian standards. I highly recommend them. Their playlist is unbelievable!

My husband and I got married in Malibu on September 12, 2021. The violin and ukulele combination stood out to me when I was searching online because it felt like it had the beachy yet classic vibe that our wedding was going to be. Jeff and Ilona exceeded my expectations and were so wonderful to work with- which as a bride- a communicative and reliable vendor is extremely important! They were so responsive and flexible to our needs and their play list is extremely extensive- they can play just about anything from classics to todays hits! My guests were so impressed with their performance and are still mentioning how beautiful and unique this duo was for our ceremony and cocktail hour. Thank you to Jeff and Ilona I hope I am able to use you again in the future!

Had a small out door wedding at Portofino Hotel in Redondo Beach and Ilona & Jeff have been absolutely amazing. Their performance was beyond anything we could of asked for, worth every penny. They were easy to work with, music was beautiful and super flexible during the entire time. We would definitely use them again for any future venues and thank you so much for making the wedding so memorable.

You were so easy to work with, and very professional! You sounded amazing for our outdoor ceremony. You responded to all of my emails promptly, you were very polite about it when my new wife wanted to change all of the ceremony songs a few days before, and you arrived for the ceremony in plenty of time to set up and get situated. I only wish we could’ve spent more time listening to you! It’s so awesome to hear Coldplay and Queen performed by such amazing classically trained musicians. I’ve already recommended you guys to a few people at our wedding that were asking about where we found you. Thanks again!

OMG, you guys were amazing!!! Our guests couldn’t stop talking about what a great idea it was to have your violin & ukulele duet play instead of just a string quartet or guitarist. You made our ceremony and cocktails come alive! I would strongly recommend you to any other couple that wants their ceremony music to be more elegant and special than a typical wedding. And you were so friendly and easy to talk to. I especially loved how you switched from classical music on the ukulele for the ceremony (thanks for playing that Bach song for me!) to pop tunes for the rest of the evening. This group is the greatest!! We had guests complimenting them all evening. I didn't think we'd find such talented and flexible musicians that could play such beautiful music for our ceremony but then switch to pop tunes for our cocktails! Our guests loved hearing Bruno Mars and Bob Marley during our cocktail hour. I'm so glad my wife decided to go with these amazing musicians instead of just a boring string quartet or guitar player! This group really raises the bar for unbelievable music for your wedding ceremony or cocktails. I've recommend them to lots of people already . . . they're highly professional people that will make your wedding sound great.

We hired Violin and Ukulele for our wedding. They were great to work with ahead of time, very responsive and flexible with the songs we wanted. The music during the ceremony and cocktail hour was exactly what we were hoping for.

The issue was with timing. They were supposed to start playing prelude music at 3:45, but they showed up right at that time and still had to set up. We had already started calling because they were late, but no one was picking up. My husband and I, along with our coordinator, were scrambling to figure out a backup plan just minutes before the ceremony. It was stressful and not the calm moment we had imagined.

We emailed them after the wedding to talk about it. It took a week to hear back. They apologized and said they wanted to make it right. We replied with a refund amount we thought was fair, but we never heard anything back.

The music was lovely, and we are glad we had live musicians. But the stress right before the ceremony and the lack of follow-up afterward left us disappointed. If you book them, make sure you are crystal clear on arrival and setup timing and have a backup plan in place.
