Venus is amazing - I contacted her about a hem and bustle for my secondhand beaded gown, and her pricing options on her website gave me an idea she might be affordable. After being quoted $600-800 sight unseen from other vendors, she had me come in for a consult that was very relaxed and pleasant and she quoted me far less than what I was expecting. She even discouraged me from making other changes to the dress, arguing that it fit me correctly already. We did two rounds of fittings (she didn't make me wait till the last minute either) to get the hem just right and she placed the beading in such a way that it was far more beautiful than the original hem. The bustle was simple and attractive and super easy to take up and down on my wedding day. She was so lovely to work with and the gowns in her shop are stunning so I would definitely trust her to do custom work as well if that was your inclination. Cannot recommend highly enough.

I found Venus when I googled "Best Seamstress Near Me" and she is in fact the most amazing seamstress ever! She gave me the best bridal fitting experience, I would leave smiling and excited every time. I knew I needed to do something to my reception gown but I wasn't sure what. Venus fashion creativity transformed my dress and made it one of a kind. She gave me amazing recommendations and ideas on how I can tweak my dress. Not only did she customized my dress but she saved my wedding literally. I had bought my wedding gown from another bridal shop and their in-house seamstress melted my dress 3 weeks before the wedding. I rushed to find a replacement and Venus did amazing on the alterations, my dress was PERFECT. Venus made me love my wedding gown again. All my guests complimented on my dresses. A good seamstress is hard to find nowadays and I'm so glad I found the best one. Professional, great communication, reasonable price.

Venus was wonderful to work with! I initially met with her via Zoom for a virtual consultation to tailor my wedding dress purchased from BHLDN. She was very thorough and direct regarding the estimate and gave candid advice (I was comparing two dresses in the consultation).

At her studio, she followed safety precautions by spacing out appointments and ensuring masks were worn during each visit. Venus was meticulous during each fitting and ensured that the dress draped correctly, even fixing an off centered layer. Although I only had a short time frame between the first visit and the wedding (about 10 weeks), she was able to finish the gown early and also provides a steam service as well. Due to the number of layers I had, there was some difficulty walking so she was quick to recognize this was not normal (I had no clue) and trimmed a bit off to ensure I would not trip on the dress. The final fit was absolutely perfect.

She gave great instructions to prep the gown for the wedding and also provided a video of the bustling.
