Melissa was invaluable! She kept me sane through the entire process as my day of coordinator. I had a destination wedding with only 2.5 months to plan. She provided me with boots on the ground, vendor recommendations, styling, gorgeous rentals of antique lanterns, candelabra, antique votives, frames, easels, etc... My wedding was a fairytale come true and was flawless. Knowing Melissa was there, allowed me to fully relax and enjoy my day as I knew I was in good hands. She took over contact with the vendors so I didn't have to and everything ran super smoothly! I cannot recommend her enough!!!

I knew I needed a wedding planner due to my busy job. I was looking for a vintage style wedding. When I found Variety Vintage I was really happy because they offer both planning and design. I met with Melissa, she was easy to talk to you and understood what I wanted. She was extremely responsive and made me feel like my wedding was priority. Melissa gave me a list of recommended vendors to choose from, put together a budget, set up appointments for my dress, provided design samples and much more to list. All the details were taken care of and I got to have the prettiest vintage wedding ever. My husband and I were very happy to not have to stress about anything. We can't say enough nice things about Melissa and her company. Our wedding day was flawless and we got to enjoy it.

I had scoured all the vintage rental companies in NYC and thankfully found Melissa who had exactly what I was looking for and at very reasonable rental rates. We rented silver vintage trays from her to use as my wedding reception center pieces. She has really fabulous vintage rental pieces-- I wish we could have rental them all!
I showed her photos of my vision and she personally delivered the trays and graciously even set up and decorated our tables beautifully. Everyone complimented us on how gorgeous the table decor was.
I found Melissa very late in my wedding planning process and wish I had found her earlier! I would have definitely wanted to hire her as my day of coordinator! I learned that she offered more than just rental pieces for weddings--she is a full service wedding/event planner.
Melissa was just amazing--friendly, warm, patient and really helped me refine my vision and offered great suggestions, support, and encouragement.

Melissa is an absolute SAINT! Of the many decisions made during the wedding planning process, Melissa at Variety Vintage was our best one! I really don't know how to convey in words how fortunate we felt to have had her help! I have been in about 20 weddings and been to many more, so I knew I needed someone that knew what they were doing! In the early planning stage, she assisted us with vendor referrals, set up appointments, designed our space, and let us know where we could cut costs without anyone noticing. When it got closer to the wedding, Melissa became my best friend overnight. The month of my wedding, I changed jobs, traveled for work, and was in anticipation of a move. I was literally pulled in every direction, but Melissa was organized and kept everything on track. She called vendors a week out to confirm plans and was on top of all the details. AND then, even with detailed planning, things don't always go as planned on the wedding day. In our case, we had a few major issues (not enough power for the band to play, shuttle buses leaving and refusing to come back, etc.). However I was oblivious to all of the issues because Melissa took care of everything. I had the best time that night!

My now husband and I enjoyed working with Melissa. From the beginning, she was very personable and offered lots of wedding tips to help us save on budget. We did not know what we wanted the look of our wedding to be and hired Melissa to design something for us. We went to see her rentals, and were impressed with all the beautiful vintage pieces, she had a good mix for us to choose from. When we saw what she had come up with, it was perfect. On our wedding day, the guests raved about the look and most important we were happy and UNDER BUDGET! Melissa also sent us a card after the wedding. Her customer service was outstanding. We highly recommend Variety Vintage & Co to anyone having an event.

When we chose Melissa as our wedding coordinator, hands down it was the best decision EVER. She is amazing, and so calming! At the start of planning, my husband and I thought we had all bases covered. Well, the further we dove into dealing with vendors and planning- the idea of doing it ourselves went out the window. It was a huge undertaking and we really needed the help.

Melissa is on top of everything. She is extremely organized, and her eye for detail is spot on.
She's full of advice/tips about all sorts of wedding related things, which I had no clue about.
Her personality is really easy going, and she never forced her opinions on us. She worked seamlessly with our vendors and staff. The night of our wedding she was a our go to gal, everyone from valet to waiters. She made sure everything was taken care of.

We had so much fun on our wedding day, stress levels were down, and we got to enjoy the day. Melissa understood what needed to be done, and more importantly she didn't need to be told to do it.
