When I was a teenager my two greatest passions were sewing and baking. My mother always encouraged me and would buy me various cookbooks so that I could try different recipes in addition to the ones she had of her own. However, at that juncture the emphasis was always on making cakes that tasted good with no real attention to making it look special on the outside. Though sewing occupied most of my spare time well into adulthood, my love for baking was never far away. There was always a desire to not only make a cake that tasted good, but also that looked good. After a lengthy career in the Telecommunications Industry and a little rest, I decided to redirect my energy and pursue cake decorating as a serious hobby. After my first cake decorating class I was hooked! Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think I would love it so much. The endless opportunities to be creative, while making others happy, is more rewarding than I could ever have imagined. Since the world of cake decorating is constantly changing, I seek every opportunity to learn new techniques to remain relevant to today's clients.
