Julie was an absolute joy to work with for our wedding cake! She was so friendly and easy to talk to, making the whole process stress-free. Her variety of flavors and flexibility made it easy to get exactly what we wanted, and her prices were the most reasonable we found. She was always quick to respond to calls and emails, and she showed up right on time for delivery. Most importantly, the cake was delicious—our guests couldn’t stop talking about it! Planning and coordinating my wedding took a great deal of time and effort. Every single detail was mulled over because I wanted everything to be perfect. And that certainly included finding the perfect cake designer. We scheduled a few tastings and meetings with different cake chef/designers. We sat, we tasted but one clearly stood out from the rest. Artful Cakery by Julie was everything I was looking and hoped for. I wanted a designer who would be able to conjure up magic from the vague descriptions we gave of what we wanted. We had a theme, a color pallet, and that was about it. Julie listened, asked all the right questions, drew up some examples, and voila, created the cake of my dreams! It was absolutely perfect and incredibly delicious! Even my Gluten-free tier was scrumptious! Julie completely exceeded our expectations. I STILL get comments on how delicious our cake was. Not only are her designs artful and cakes bursting with flavor, but Julie is an incredible human to boot. I could tell that she genuinely cared about us, our journey together, and ensuring that our special night was as magical as we had hoped for. Her care, communication, attention to detail, enthusiasm, and all out professionalism allowed me the freedom to take this oh so important task off my proverbial plate. I walked away from our meeting feeling really good about letting go and that in and of itself, is priceless. Julie is now our forever go to for all of our event desserts. Our cupcakes and cake was amazing! Everyone commented that everything was too beautiful to eat. Once they did eat them, they got a double wow effect! Will not be able to use another caterer after using Julie for our event.

I was recommended by my mother to try Julie’s cakes and cupcakes for my wedding back in June. To say I was blown away by her cakes is an understatement. Her cakes are the perfect consistency and the flavoring is to die for (both the cake crumb and icing). She takes careful consideration of how she decorates each cake. I should know, I got the same cake again with a different design for my birthday! I definitely recommend Julie for any occasion.

Julie has gone above and beyond to help make both the wedding and shower desserts a top notch experience! She worked with bride and groom to design custom cakes for each, she arranged a tasting for both to try a variety of flavors, she is delivering to a private event (not at a venue) in the mountains, and we couldn’t be more pleased.
We also reached out to Julie to do desserts for a wedding shower, and she designed cookies, mini cupcakes, cake pops, and brownies to fit with our theme and design. They tasted as good as they were beautiful. Great experience all around.
