Updo Chick is an on-site wedding hair service based out of Troy, Michigan. Hairstylist Julie has been a licensed cosmetologist for over 12 years. She is passionate about making people look and feel beautiful and confident on their special day. She is available to provide in-home hair styling services for your wedding, bridal shower, engagement pictures, bachelorette party, or rehearsal dinner.

Services Offered

Updo Chick offers on-site hairstyling for you and your bridal party at to your home, hotel or venue. While she does not provide makeup services, she is happy to recommend trusted local artists. Julie recommends a consultation and hair trial before your big day to ensure you are satisfied with your chosen style. Services available include blowouts, updos, styling, cuts, and coloring.

Dream come true

Julie is so sweet and her prices are beyond reasonable. She did the hair for my bridal party on 10/10/20 and we were all super happy with our looks. I would recommend her over and over again.

Love Julie!!

I love Julie! I saw her pictures of her hairstyles and knew exactly what she was looking for. Julie is so sweet, professional and talented. Don't be afraid to tell Julie exactly what you like and don't like, she won't get offended and will fix it countless times to make sure you're happy. She worked on my bridesmaid, my mom and me, and we couldn't be happier. Her prices are reasonable and she's quick too. Julie is now my go to for all my formal updo hair needs. I loved how she did my hair for my wedding so much that for my next event I had her style my hair exactly the same. I fell in love with Julie and you will too, can't recommend her enough.

Holy cow, Julie is amazing! All I did was show her a picture of what I wanted and she made it happen! She styled my entire bridal party plus a few others, and everyone loved how their hair turned out. Also, she's hilarious. A session with her is a serious stomach workout. I would recommend her for anyone! You will not regret it!

I have used this vendor not only for my own wedding but frequently when I am a guest at a wedding or even a bridesmaid. I have referred her multiple times because she can make anything happen. I have fine, soft. thin hair and she can make me feel like a bombshell for any event and create any look I come up with. If you have those bridesmaids that are all going to have a "vision" for what they want then choose the Updo Chick and you will be happy you did. She is affordable, flexible and makes your big day as special as can be. I couldn't be happier with her service! Thanks Updo Chick!

Julie has had her hands in my hair for the better part of a decade! My go-to for all updos and special event styling. The convenience of having her arrive on-site is awesome for busy days, and makes "getting ready" a lot of fun when at home with friends and family attending the same event. Julie is beyond creative and is able to replicate any look desired; as well, always has new ideas to help complement a particular style or occasion. She constantly checks in to make sure the "shape" and look of her styling is meeting preferred expectations. And, she works quickly, so more time can be spent on other obligations of special event days. Her friendliness and professionalism will leave you pleased every time you book with Julie! I HIGHLY recommend!

Julie was great! She did an amazing job on my hair for a wedding. It was especially convenient that she came to my house. I tend to be very picky with my hair and she captured my vision perfectly. I would highly recommend her and plan on using her service again in the future!
