About

With plenty of room to celebrate with your friends and family, Twelve West Main is easily accessible from anywhere in the Piedmont. This elegant facility offers space for your rehearsal dinner, wedding ceremony, catered reception, bridesmaid luncheon, and bridal shower.

Twelve West Main was built in 1916 and is on the approximate site of the John Thomas house (founder of Thomasville). In the past, the first floor housed Jones/Efird’s Dept. Stores and once hosted WMFR’s radio broadcast from the mezzanine. Historical sites such as the Big Chair, the Bell Tower Fountain, the Depot and the town gazebo are all within view and add charm to the Twelve West Main experience. Buildings are illuminated at night.

This beautifully restored building is now available for weddings, receptions, proms, reunions, and other banquets involving up to 500 people.

I researched a ton of venues and this owner encouraged me to find a venue like Twelve west main that beat the price! Well let me save you the time and stress! You won't find better value for your buck! I am so glad I chose Twelve west main! The owner was accommodating and made sure the venue was set up exactly how I I visioned it. He was accommodating of our needs and budget. The white chair covers were an added bonus that really made a difference. He even has a small room with decorations that have been left behind/donated for you to use. The balconies overlook the dance floor which adds so much character. We were able to get into the venue early to set up and had all day celebrate and clean up. This venue was perfect for our wedding! Definitely a hidden gem in Thomasville! You have to see it! Thank you!

This venue is a great and affordable option for couples interested in having everything in one location. Tables and chairs are included in the rental fee and the dressing suites for both the Bride and the Men are a bonus. The venue is a blank pallet that can be both simply decorated or elaborate and STILL look great!

I was so pleased with Johnny's (owner of 12 W Main) flexibility in getting us in to the venue to rehearse and decorate earlier than expected. The venue was such a nice, elegant place. My guests were pleased, many mentioned how nice the place was. It was simply a beautiful day!

This place was awesome!!!! I absolutely loved getting married there & I would recommend them in a heart beat! I hope that I am able to see more events in this place! It's beautiful, Johnny's great & Brandi was too while she was there! I left a ton of my wedding stuff there for anyone who gets married there in the future or has a party there is a spare room full of stuff left from other people that you are free to use! My wedding day was amazing because of this place, their staff & that spare room full of supplies!

Twelve West Main was a wonderful wedding venue. Not only is it beautiful (with lots of cool photo opportunities, inside and out), but it was also a great value. It was one of the only venues we found that we could have all day long. It made us feel at ease that we could take our time to get the space and ourselves prepared. It was great that there was the option for the girls and guys to get ready in the same building! We rented the Franklin Suite for the men, and the women got ready in the bridal room. It made it convenient for us and our photographers as well. Most of our guests were from out of town, so we loved that we had the option to have our ceremony in the same venue. Our guests loved that the party started right after our ceremony! Everyone kept commenting on how they thought our venue was beautiful and unique, and we're so glad we chose it for our wedding day!

My husband and I chose Twelve West Main because of the atmosphere and ambiance that is obvious from the moment you walk in the door. We didn't want to worry about weather and wanted our guests to be able to see our ceremony and party at the reception without transitioning locations. The staff at Twelve West Main is very professional and so courteous. They were flexible and met with me each time I asked to revisit the property for planning purposes, which was about five times! During and after our wedding our guests all raved about the location and how beautiful our wedding was, in large part due to Twelve West Main. As a bonus, the location is in the middle of downtown Thomasville where there are many photo ops, including the big chair, old train depot, a clock tower and beautiful murals within walking distance. I would DEFINITELY recommend Twelve West Main to anyone who is looking for a fabulous ceremony/reception venue!!

Dedicated staff who are knowledgeable about details for events. They met me several times to sort out what I wanted for decorating purposes and provided me with ideas that I had not thought of. They were very responsive to all my email communications. On the day of the event, staff was available to help my friends who were decorating for me to get things just the way we needed. My wedding was fabulous. Many of my friends and family stated that this was one of the best weddings that they had been to. THANKS so much Twelve West Main!

What a beautiful venue! I am so happy that I chose Twelve West Main for our wedding reception. They offered us a huge discount because our wedding was on a Monday, instead of a typical Saturday. They were very helpful with all of my questions and concerns. It's location made a perfect spot for lovely pictures in Thomasville. I couldn't have asked for anything better!
