I chose to get my nails done here at Tulip Salon Spa (Aveda) at the Town Centre in Fredericksburg. I got them done the day of my wedding, and treated my mom to a manicure as well. They were great it scheduling us to have our appointments back to back (they only had one nail technician). I had the classic manicure with a Shellac application done as a French manicure. My nails were gorgeous and it showed fabulously in my wedding photos. Their customer service is great, as is evident that after I left the salon, I noticed that somehow a bit of fuzz from my fleece jacket managed to get shellaced to one of my freshly done nails. I went immediately back to the salon and very politely and calmly asked if there was any way to get that nail redone, as my wedding was the next day. The receptionist said, "Of course!! You HAVE to have your nails looking beautiful on your wedding day. There will be photos of your ring, so your nails should look good!" The technician was with another customer so they asked if I could wait just a bit, so I said that I could get lunch next door with my family and then come right back. When I returned, the technician double checked ALL my nails and even fixed a few extras....at no additional cost. Also, true to advertising, the shellac application stayed on for two+ weeks after application, even after going in the ocean and pool during my honeymoon! And the technician instructed me on how to remove the application properly once it began to chip, so she didn't tell me that I HAD to return there to remove the shellac. I wished I lived closer to this shop because I would go here more often when I needed a relaxing day.
