I loved my experience at Trove Boutique. I am a thrift-shop type of girl and I love vintage style so I knew I wanted a vintage dress for my wedding. It is an adorable shop in the heart of Ballard with great customer service and great care for their wares. The vintage wedding dresses were all well maintained and/or repaired if needed, and were kept in bags or under cover of some sort to preserve them. The ladies working were more than happy to pull any and all dresses I wanted, even the ones hanging overhead on the walls, and I tried on a LOT of dresses. I never felt rushed or pressured, and they seemed to have just as much fun as I did.
Near the end there were actually 3 dresses I was deciding between, all of which would need some sort of alteration, so they called up their seamstress and she was there within 15 min to give her input! I walked away with a 1950's tea length dress that I absolutely love, and utilized that same seamstress to remove the long sleeves and take in the waist. Trove has a beautiful collection of dresses spanning many eras and styles, including party/prom dresses that non-traditional brides would love. I almost went with a turquoise dress instead of the white! A few dresses start in the $350 range, many are around $500-$800, with a few knockouts close to $1,000. Truly unique pieces that no one else will have. Recently they've opened up a separate bridal room in the back of their store so you can get the full bridal experience and shop accessories, shoes, etc. I highly recommend Trove for the vintage minded bride!
