DO THE HOMEWORK ~ STUDY DETAIL: Tracey Franks was hired for 5-6 hours to shoot photos of my daughter's wedding & then burn them onto a dvd. The price: $1200! This doesn't include any edits (not even white balance), prints or album so pouring over the 500-600 photos we received a few days after the wedding, I believe little interest to capture fantastic shots - requiring few adjustments to turn into fantastic prints for album, may have been neglected. She had never been to the venue before the wedding day - not even to scope out a great photography plan which as MOB I would have assumed she would. Other concerns were the actual quality and creativity of the various shots (see projectwedding for another review with pictures I posted). I have been working dilgently with an artist that is now attempting to 'fix' the photos we desired to have copied into an album, but many (over 3/4) could not be corrected for a reasonable amount of money(less than $40 a piece). I am not trying to be cruel in any way, however, a guest's canon sureshot camera captured more candid & cherished moments - and the resolution in many were equal or even better. Also, my I suggest to all Brides - even for 65 guests - you need 2 cameras especially if a lap top will be set up as a slide show. This photographer shot the ceremony, went inside to set up the laptop show & neglected to take pictures of the delightful cocktail reception taking place with guests milling about the beautiful gardens. I also would have preferred photos taken where eyes were not facing direct sunlight which was the case for almost all the outdoor photos. Just a heads up to 'do your homework' before deciding on any photograher: what kiind of current and past training have they had to qualify them as a photographer, ask & check their last 5 wedding they photographed for references - then when you call the brides ask for actual examples of their work. Remember you need 2 cameras for the ceremony. DO THE HOMEWORK ~ STUDY DETAIL.
