I really enjoyed working with Tina. Our flowers were beautiful, and she totally designed exactly what I wanted. I brought her several pictures of what I wanted for my bouquet and the centerpieces, and she totally came through. Also, I found her prices to be very reasonable. The only thing is that she did not ever answer her e-mail. However, when I tried calling her instead, she always got back to me really quickly. Overall, I was very pleased with my decision to hire Tina to do my flowers.

While she can be difficult to get ahold of during the 'off season', Tina has a gift for floral arrangement. Our beautiful wedding flowers arrived in great shape and right on time. She gave me exactly what I asked for, even though I didn't use a ton of flowers. I never felt like I was less important. I would totally recommend Lavish Floral to anyone having a wedding in the Lake Tahoe area.

Tina is a wonderful artist. She was the only florist I met who was willing to think "out of the box." Her flowers are beautiful, and she was able to meet my vision and my budget- in fact we ended up UNDER BUDGET, which is very rare in the wedding industry. However, she was not the best at email correspondence- which made me very nervous prior to my wedding. Despite asking, I never received a picture of what the centerpieces would look like- so I decided on the table number holders without a centerpiece to compare them too. In the end, I was very happy with flowers and the price.

If you are looking for beautiful hand ties and poor quality flowers this is your place to go. I ordered my wedding flowers from Tina and she was flexible to work with my budget or so I was lead to believe. During my first and only meeting with Tina, she was flexible, artistic and chatty. She offered some suggestion to drop cost down and indicated she worked with high quality flowers therefore the cost of the arrangements. After that initial meeting I had a very difficult time reaching her as she does not have the habit to return VM or emails. The last time I spoke with her was the day before my wedding when she confirmed she would deliver the flowers to the church on scheduled and would be there to pin/handout flowers as agreed in our original meeting. When I arrived to the church (30min before my ceremony) Tina was nowhere to be found and nor where the flowers. Finally, I found the flowers in overheated plastic bag in a corner. Most of them had brown spots and did not appear to be of the high quality as promised, the roses were miniature in size for the groomsmen and not regular size. Although, her hand ties for the bouquets where nicely crafted the poor quality of the flowers did not make up for the price or lack of customer service.

Where to begin – I unfortunately don’t have good things to say about Tina. She was hard to communicate with and extremely hard to get ahold of. I would email, call, and leave voicemails only to not get a response. I have heard horror stories about the florist getting things wrong, so I wanted to take every step to ensure that did not happen. My mother and I went to her house to do a mock centerpiece. Everything looked great. She took notes, pictures, and put everything into my file.
Bouquet: My colors were blush pink, navy, and silver. I emailed her pictures for my bouquet because I wanted some pops of burgundy since it was the fall. I ended up getting a little bit of blush pink, red, and a lot of burgundy. Nothing close to what I showed her. When we did first look, it was very windy. She asked if I wanted my bouquet and I told her no because the wind would’ve destroyed the flowers. We ended up moving pictures to the front of the Lodge (Edgewood). I wanted my bouquet for the family photos. We called her probably 10 times with no answer. Turns out her phone was left in her car.
Boutonnières: These were supposed to be blush pink to match my colors. Instead they were red. I have zero idea where she got the idea to put red on these since I specifically told her I did not want any red in the wedding.
Corsages: Tina made the corsages with white orchids (my flowers were roses and dahlias) with gold ribbon (everyone else had silver ribbon because silver was my color). We saw them 20 minutes before the wedding. Tina’s response was it was too late to fix them, which I completely agreed. She ended up refunding us for these because they did not go with anything.
Centerpieces: These were red/cranberry instead of the blush pink I told her I wanted. Again, no idea where she got the idea to do red. We provided lanterns and wooden planks that Tina agreed to put out. The lanterns were hanging off the wood planks. It just looked awful.
Bottom line, stay away from Tina.
