About
Timothy Smith Photography was born from a passion which began during our college years. We bought our first digital SLR in early 2003 and landed our first gig (a wedding) by happenstance and quickly discovered our passion! As lovers of people, meaning, and life we strive to artistically capture on camera your moment and artistically present to you a visual story.
After we became parents, the challenges of dressing up our son, taking him to the studios, trying to get him to smile for a picture (any picture) all in vain hopes of getting a great photo to treasure the times sparked an idea.
Rather than ending up with a very unhappy child, and no happy memories, we discovered how much easier it was to photograph a child in his own comfort zone, not only did we not have to stand on our heads to get him to smile, but he was genuinely happy, (and so were we). Thus, we began offering Children’s Photography. This takes place in your own home or a spot of your choosing, you receive an hour of time and in the end, everyone is happier… including baby!
Event photography morphed from Portrait & Children’s photography, and our business still includes Weddings and Engagements. Feel free to take a peek at our portfolio and give us a call (817) 586-8442 or email us with questions.
We are honored to serve the Dallas/Fort Worth Area for Family and Children’s Photography. Timothy Smith Photography also specializes in Engagement, Senior Portraits, Wedding and Commercial Photography.
Tim Smith graduated from Princeton with a Masters of Divinity Degree and enjoys hiking, photo-journalism and telling stories. He is pursuing pre-medical studies. Amy graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Piano from Greenville College. She has worked for the last five years in Information Technology.
We have been blessed with a 6-year old son full of life, energy and a passion for… you guessed it… taking pictures (and occasionally posing for them).
