Timber Lake West

The venue was perfect for us. The owner and staff were professional, communicative and went above and beyond to make our wedding a special event. We got everything we wanted and more, and we highly recommend this place for any future wedding events.

TLW was an absolute dream venue come true! Justin and his team at TLW did everything in their power to make us and our guests feel welcomed and comfortable. Throughout our literal hundreds of emails, Justin was always professional, friendly, and fast to respond. TLW worked well with our other vendors, and provided a super easy-going experience for our guests and us as the wedding couple! We got so many compliments on the location, the sheer amount of things to do, and the ability to do as much or as little as each guest wanted. TLW did a fantastic job with the meals (super tasty!), and were fantastic about accommodating our guests' dietary restrictions. We added onto our wedding package: the heated swimming pool, the go-karts, and lake access. The go-karts are an absolute must, and it was so nice to see our guests enjoying all of the available activities. We also had a bouncy house obstacle course at our wedding - TLW loved the idea, and they even had a vendor to recommend! Hands-down the best venue experience, it was such a joy and now precious memory to have all of our friends and family sequestered away for a weekend. Thanks so much TLW, especially Justin!!

We cannot say enough about how beyond-incredible our wedding weekend experience was at Timberlake West and with Justin and his team. Every single guest felt like they were in a magical Catskills paradise, a little hidden world in the mountains and the trees. Many of our guests told us that it was the loveliest wedding they have ever attended.

Justin and we went through two years of two pandemic cancellations before the wedding actually occurred and Justin was so unbelievably understanding and positive to work with. He has a genuine exuberant and enthusiastic “can-do” attitude. Whenever we asked Justin any question, his response was “Excited to help plan your EPIC wedding weekend!!” and “I want you to have the best wedding ever.” And he always delivered, with an exceptional attention to detail. The thing is that Justin really cared and we felt totally supported and were very grateful and moved to be in his loving spirit and care.

During the Saturday leadup to the wedding ceremony itself, Justin went above and beyond anything we could have expected to help make those moments as special as possible. In the hour before, he must have solved five different mini-emergencies from grabbing safety pins to hold the grooms’ collar up to driving us around on the golf cart to take photos with the photographer to helping elderly relatives.

And Justin’s staff - from the kitchen to the grounds - were phenomenal as well. Clearly he has created a very happy place to work.

We fell in love with the gorgeous farmhouse-like reception hall with its wood beams, beautiful windows and deck overlooking the hills, an ample wooden dance floor and stage. The lake and the two swimming pools are also lovely and great places for guests to hang out on Saturday. People loved the BBQ area full of twinkling lights under the trees and those picnic tables were a magnet for socializing all weekend. The lawn next to the tables was perfect for our opening ceremony and the big square dance we held on Friday night.

Although it was kind of a whim to do, the go-karts were a HUGE hit with the guests and a highlight for many of the children (and adults!) that attended.

The food at the camp (the Friday night BBQ, breakfasts and lunch) was delicious and beyond what we were expecting. We appreciated that they wanted us to bring in our own caterers for the wedding meal itself as our friend is a chef. That was not the case with a lot of venues we looked at (and we looked at tons of venues across The Catskills and Hudson Valley).

The ceremony itself was so beautiful it felt like a dream. Everyone gazed out at the ceremony onto the lake with the sunset behind us over the hills and a dramatic hill to process down.

For a big wedding such as ours, with people flying in from so many parts of the world, who had not seen each other in years since pre-pandemic, it was a huge plus to have so much housing at our venue, from bunks to private rooms, to have a true weekend communal experience where everyone felt transported.

There is very little we wished would have happened differently.

We were lucky enough to finally get married at Timber lake west in September 2021 after rescheduling twice in 2020 (thank you to the camp owner, Justin, for being so flexible and easy to work with). We and our 200 guests have nothing but amazing things to say about the camp, the staff and the weekend as a whole. Justin and his team work tirelessly to keep the site beautiful and they took special care to make sure everything went smoothly and our guests were taken care of. We wanted a venue that was fun, unique and could house all of our friends and family onsite and TLW does that perfectly. The cafeteria meals provided by the camp were delicious, the bunks were clean and comfortable and the facilities were top notch. Our guests enjoyed a welcome bbq on Friday evening that ended with knockout and flip cup on the basketball courts. On Saturday we had hours of basketball, tennis, hiking, go-karts, boating and swimming leading up to the wedding on Saturday evening. Our outdoor ceremony was right next to the lake, which provided a stunning backdrop for our photos. The large reception hall overlooks the lake and has a stage that was perfect for a wedding band. The next morning we sent our guests off with a delicious brunch. We got so many compliments on our choice of venue and many of our guests said it was the best wedding they’d ever been to. Justin was very accessible and quick to answer all of our questions throughout the planning process. Thank you to Timber Lake West for giving us the perfect wedding weekend…we can’t wait to go back!

Camp Timber Lake West was the most incredible place to get married. Justin, Steve and the whole team went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. It rained the day of our wedding and the team worked so hard to make the "plan b" option so beautiful that no one would have guessed it was our backup option. Everything about this place is so special - it's been almost two months and our guests are still talking about how much they loved camp!

When our friends from the west coast told us the best wedding they had been to was a Camp wedding in Palm Springs we knew we wanted to pull off something similar. Weddings are expensive and and 5 hours was just too short for us. We wanted to do a weekend wedding so we could max out our time together. After researching countless camps on the east coast from location, price, setting, accommodations and activities, we knew immediately that TLW was the camp for our wedding. Justin was super easy to communicate with throughout the off season as I had a ton of questions about the logistics of the weekend. He answered all my questions and recommended vendors which was great since I was in NYC. The weekend was everything we wanted it to be and more. The setting is absolutely beautiful in the fall. Cabins are great and our family embraced it, the sports activities on site are awesome and our friends are still talking about canoe races, basketball tournament, tie dye, go karts, petting zoo and a million other memories that our family and friends made over the weekend. Steve, Jenn, Kate, Alan, Todd and all the staff at TLW are AMAZING. From setting up the bunks, to the logistics of check in, Friday BBQ, Saturday activities, ceremony, reception, after party, after after party and Sunday brunch, they were always there saying YES and acting on anything that anyone in my family or guest list needed. Our ceremony Sat turned out to be crazy cold and many people questioned having the ceremony at the lake. Steve acted last minute by bringing out a giant vintage firepit and lit it up. It became an awesome centerpiece to our cocktail hour and tons of our guests huddled around. At the end of the weekend the staff became family. We 100% recommend having your wedding up there! If you are up for the challenge of a DIY camp wedding this is the place to do it. When everyone left Sunday our friends were so sad to go and they asked if we could come back next year for a reunion!

Timberlake West is wonderful! The beauty of the acreage and facilities, and equally so, the hospitality and talents of the host staff, made this the perfect wedding venue.

What a wonderful event venue! We came from Canada for a wedding ceremony of two friends. It was a long drive but well worth it! The people at Timber Lake West camp were wonderful and incredibly accommodating. The camp is gorgeous and had all the facilities we needed for the wedding. They were even able to find a nice secluded spot to park my RV and plug in for power. I have mobility issues right now with a busted hip so navigating the hills at the park was a bit difficult, but there are roads leading to all the venues so having a vehicle to use for transportation helped me and will be good to have if you have mobility issues. Can't wait to see if there are any follow up events. Our friends had such a good time I think this may become a regular event for large get togethers.

I was the guest at a wedding a couple of weeks ago - it was marvelous. Beautiful grounds. I literally felt like I had stumbled on to the set of a Wes Anderson movie. I hope more of my friends get married here!

What a perfect wedding venue! Our lovely friends got married at Timber Lake West, and wow. From start to finish, everything seemed perfect. We didn't want for anything the whole time, including hot water. At a Summer Camp... who knew?! The facilities are amazing, the surrounding green space is perfect for late-night dance parties, and the bunks reminded me of childhood sleep-away camp. Couldn't have asked for a more magical weekend, and I know how hard the folks at TLW worked to help make it all happen seamlessly. Well done, can't WAIT to come back for something else!
