ThistleWork Design is a private calligraphy studio based in Framingham, MA. Visits are by appointment only. Owner/operator, Diane Desautelle is a calligrapher with a graphic design background. She works closely with clients to create unique and original designs to match their vision - be it elegant or rustic. All envelope addressing is done in traditional dip-pen calligraphy using either Copperplate script or a hand modified to compliment the font used on printed invitations. She is a fine artist experienced in working on all manner of materials, from wooden boxes and fabric to mirrors... creating endless possibilities for wedding decor and gifts. Often incorporating Celtic knotwork, her commissioned work includes wedding vows, hand-bound wedding books, family trees, name plaques, certificates, and monograms.
