The Woodmark Hotel & Still Spa on Lake Washington

We are so glad we hosted our wedding at The Woodmark! The hotel is beautiful, the water views can’t be beat, the food is phenomenal (in particular the smoked salmon with lobster mac & cheese), the couple’s post-ceremony boat ride is such a special experience, and the service is outstanding. The Woodmark team was easy to work with and very responsive to our many, many questions leading up to the big day. Our biggest concern when touring the venue was that dancing was separate from dinner, but this turned out to be a non-issue. We encouraged guests to migrate to the ballroom for parent dances and were able to set up several low cocktail tables so that guests who didn’t want to dance were still able to listen to the band/be around the action. An unexpected benefit of The Woodmark was the convenience of Carillon Point. My bridal party had our nails done at the Woodmark spa. I had a blowout for our rehearsal dinner at Lux Lab Salon. Carillon Kitchen offered good, quick, and easy to-go lunches for our wedding party to enjoy while getting ready. Le Grand Bistro was a wonderful setting for a small, informal family brunch after the big day. We look forward to returning to the Woodmark to celebrate our anniversaries for many years to come! We had our wedding at the Woodmark this May and could not have been happier with the entire experience. From start to finish, everything was seamless—the team truly has their process down to a science. Booking the venue, coordinating the details, and finalizing the bill was all incredibly easy and straightforward.

We worked closely with Ashley, who was a dream to work with. She was quick to respond, shared thoughtful insights throughout the planning process, and truly went above and beyond on the big day to ensure everything ran smoothly. She deserves a raise!

From the moment we checked into the hotel, we felt so special—our room was lovely, and we were welcomed with champagne upon arrival.

On the day of the wedding, we were blown away by how well-orchestrated everything was. The staff was attentive and detail-oriented in a way that didn’t go unnoticed. For example, while we were visiting tables during dinner, one staff member kindly pulled us aside to let us know our meals were ready so we wouldn’t miss them while they were fresh. Guests with dietary restrictions were also personally checked on to make sure their meals were perfect and customized to their needs - direct quote from one of our guests “it felt like a restaurant experience, literally the best food/dietary accommodation experience I’ve had at a wedding!”

Another praise is that the food and drinks were AMAZING, we LOVED the lobster mac & cheese and tuna tacos!!!

The flexibility with the day-of schedule was another huge plus—we were able to start setting up in the morning and stay until midnight for clean up without incurring extra fees, which is rare for venues.

And we can’t recommend the post-ceremony boat ride enough even on a cloudy cold day —it was an unforgettable and unique moment for just the two of us. They had our favorite drinks and snacks waiting on board, which was such a thoughtful touch.

Truly a 100/10 experience. We couldn’t be more grateful and would recommend the Woodmark to any couple looking for a beautiful, seamless, and memorable wedding day.

We are so happy we chose the Woodmark Hotel as our wedding venue! Not only is it a GORGEOUS place to get married, but the service they provided was top notch. They are clearly very experienced with hosting weddings as they were extremely well organized, were so helpful before and during the wedding, and made sure everything went super smoothly. We worked with Brooke from the beginning and she was AMAZING! She was responsive to all the emails I sent and was very accommodating when organizing all the little details, including storing our decorations and linens the night before, refrigerating our rose petals and cake, organizing an early set up, adjusting a dinner entree, and allowing our customized beer to be served. She even helped steam the tablecloths the night before the wedding! Additionally, the food was absolutely delicious and we got a ton of compliments on how amazing all the food was, even weeks after the wedding. All in all, the Woodmark was the perfect venue for us and we would recommend it in a heartbeat!

So glad we went with The Woodmark for our venue. It was so great to have most everything taken care of by the venue, and they are seasoned pros! Not only is the location beautiful, but the food was SO good too. My husband and I both work in restaurants and frankly did not have high expectations considering most hotels food tend to leave something to be desired but not The Woodmark; we were both pleasantly surprised and excited after everything we tasted when planning our menu was delicious! As I said, they are definitely pros when it comes to weddings, which made everything so smooth and easy wedding day!

From the moment we took a tour, to the day of our wedding, Kristin was there through everything. I was not expecting the kind of service she had provided; and constantly she reassured me that all of my questions and requests were heard and answered. Kristin, and the Woodmark Hotel, top level service and professionalism really showed through every email, every phone call, and in person meeting. I would hire this venue again for any event in the future.

The tent, waterfront, and hotel is BEAUTIFUL, breath taking, and the best spot to say "I do". FOOD is SUPER DELICIOUS. We did the buffet, and our guests could not stop getting up for seconds, and yes there was more than enough for everyone to do so. Beyond all my little questions and request, Kristin genuinely made us feel very special on our day. There was never a time where I looked back after booking them. Thank you Kristin for all of your efforts, it truly made our day that much more special.

We had the perfect wedding day at the Woodmark hotel!! Kristin was an amazing venue coordinator and was so helpful through our entire planning process. She was super quick to respond to our questions and was extremely professional. We loved the venue for its proximity to the waters (we got married with a view of lake Washington right behind us!) and the numerous room options (we had ceremony under terrace tent, cocktail on the lawn, reception inside, photo booth and dessert in another room inside, tea ceremony in the library). Food at the venue was great!

We were looking for a place right on the water and the Woodmark is definitely a fantastic spot for this! The location is breathtaking, but more than this the team behind weddings at the Woodmark is truly one of a kind. Brooke helped us every step of the way, always accommodating and really focused on making the day everything we hoped for. She was an incredible asset to our wedding vendor team! On the day of the wedding, thunderstorms were in the works and the Woodmark so effortlessly established a "rain plan". In the end, rain stayed away just long enough for us to enjoy the wedding ceremony outside in the tent and the Woodmark adjusted plans accordingly; it was amazing. The service is remarkable. We are not organized people so having this team behind us made all the difference. Could not recommend enough!

Wow! We were SO impressed with The Woodmark for our wedding in 2018. Meg helped us throughout the entire 18 months of planning our wedding. I so very appreciated her attention to detail and patience with my novice wedding planning skills. Pros to this venue, the package includes everything you need and they are very organized. For additional vendors they have very top notch quality recommendations to choose from. The venue itself is absolutely breathtaking, and and the guests enjoyed themselves from start to finish. We loved having our guests be able to stay at the hotel, and our bridal suite was incredible. The food at The Woodmark is so delicious, our guests raved about the taste of the food (we did the dinner buffet). The indoor/outdoor feature makes this venue incredibly special for a ceremony and reception all in one location. I really also appreciated an excellent recommendation for uplighting when I found out our DJ could not provide it.
The downside for us I would say was honestly just the hiccups of check in for our guests (not getting their welcome bags upon check-in) and not having the cake knives put out for us when we were ready for cake cutting. Also, the florist vases were broken by the setup staff along with some of our personal decoration items. The spa treatments the day before also really were very disorganized for our party. Weddings aren't perfect and I didn't have a planner or a day of coordinator, so I think it was overall the best it could have been! We were extremely happy, it was the best day of our lives!

The Woodmark was our perfect venue. We knew we wanted to have our wedding at a hotel but we had a wide variety of options including downtown and out near the mountains. The moment we walked through the front door of the Woodmark we were amazed at how beautiful and peaceful it was. Meg is an all-star and went above and beyond to make sure that we were happy. We started our planning process very early but she was with us every step of the way, checking in every few months and asking if we had any questions. Our ceremony and reception were held in the Marina Room and the banquet staff were fantastic (prompt in clearing away plates and making sure everyone had what they needed). We (along with some friends and family) stayed in the hotel and the rooms are wonderful. The place has a very relaxing vibe which is exactly what I needed. Meg was great in coordinating with all of our vendors and accommodating our special requests. The food (appetizers and mains) were delicious and the spa is also top notch (I had a massage the night before our wedding). My husband and I have agreed that whenever we want to have a date night/staycation we are going back to the Woodmark!
