The wedding of our dreams! We are beyond grateful to have found not only a venue, but a staff that took such good care of us and our guests. Throughout the entire wedding planning process, the VDM team was incredibly responsive and available to answer any questions we had. They were flexible with us with touring the venue (several times) to make sure we felt comfortable leading up to wedding day. We planned our wedding from out of state and the VDM team made it so easy. On wedding day I was able to be in the moment without a care in the world because of our vendors, including the VDM staff, who took care of absolutely everything and I never had to think twice about it. They are top notch! I would highly recommend the Van Dusen Mansion to anyone looking for a classic, timeless, luxury feel wedding in the Minneapolis area. 1000/10

We had the absolute pleasure of hosting our wedding at The Van Dusen Mansion, and it was truly a dream come true. From the moment we toured the venue, we knew it was the perfect place for us. The mansion is absolutely stunning, and the team’s professionalism made the planning process smooth and enjoyable. After placing our deposit, we received a clear and detailed planning timeline, which the team stuck to from beginning to end. Monica, the venue director, was incredibly responsive and genuinely excited to work with us. We were planning a hybrid cultural wedding, which can sometimes be daunting for vendors, but Monica embraced it wholeheartedly and made us feel supported every step of the way. We also appreciated the flexibility of being able to tour the venue multiple times without any pushback. By the time our wedding day arrived, it truly felt like we were inviting guests into our own home.
One thing to note: the venue requires that the get-ready rooms be cleaned out before the ceremony begins. This was a bit inconvenient as things got hectic, and we recommend couples assign someone specifically to manage that, as we did lose track of a few personal items after the event. The only other downside is that you're required to use their exclusive catering partner, Mintahoe (we've left a separate review for them).
Overall, we couldn’t be happier with our experience. The Van Dusen Mansion is a stunning venue with a fantastic team, and we’re so grateful to have celebrated our special day there!

Our wedding at the Van Dusen was absolutely spectacular! From our initial tour, to our planning meetings, and the day of, everyone we worked with was the epitome of professional, responsive, and knowledgable. Monica answered our questions periodically as we went along through the planning process and was incredibly thorough. I was planning my wedding remotely from NYC, and this would not have been possible without her excellent guidance. I felt very at ease when at the last planning meeting with Monica, she knew exactly how we wanted things and our specifications for various parts of the evening without any prompting. Our day of coordinator was Shelly and she was also incredible. I was initially nervous having a day of coordinator that I had not yet met, but I can’t emphasize what an amazing job she did! She was so on top of everything on the day of and seamlessly coordinated the vendors, wedding party, and calmly addressed any hiccups during the day without causing alarm. I did not hire a planner for our wedding, and I truly did not need one with the level of support and coordination that the Van Dusen provided. On the day of our wedding, my vision was executed perfectly. I had family members assigned to do various set up tasks, and they would go to do them and they were already completed by the Van Dusen staff! The attention to detail blew me away. I would highly recommend getting married at the Van Dusen, especially if you are looking for an all in one venue that will allow you to forego the wedding planner and spend that money on something else more fun!

The Van Dusen was the perfect venue for our wedding. We loved that we could enjoy all the different spaces throughout the day - the getting ready rooms upstairs, the basement, the top-floor kitchen. And our guests loved the progressive style event, enjoying the ballroom, courtyard, mansion ground floor (with live piano!), and carriage house throughout the evening as the story of the day unfolded.

We planned our wedding remotely and appreciated that the Van Dusen stands on its own. Unlike many venues, we barely even had to think about additional decorations. The natural elegance of the venue was enough to set the mood and the tone.

Bellagala was a professional organization to work with and Monica, the venue lead, was an excellent communicator before, during, and after. All staff we worked with were helpful, positive, and pleasant.

Guests especially loved the Carriage House for the live band (5 members, Bluewater Kings Band). The dance floor felt perfectly packed all the time because of its size for our 120-person wedding. The open second floor gave people enough distance while still making people feel part of the action.

Booking our venue was our first major step in wedding planning. We couldn't have been happier with our choice of the Van Dusen!

To say the Van Dusen was the perfect venue for our wedding is an understatement. From the moment we toured, we knew it was the perfect spot to host our special day. They answered all our questions, and the amenities and attention to detail truly set the Van Dusen apart as a top-tier wedding venue.
They also helped throughout the entire day—needed a steamer? They had it. Help setting up decorations? No problem. Were they able to execute our dream wedding? Absolutely. When you have family and guests still talking about how great it was weeks afterward, you know you made the right choice. Any stress I had was immediately eased after connecting with them.
Monica, in particular, went above and beyond to ensure our day was a success. As an out-of-town bride, I was worried about how the logistics would play out. Monica and the rest of the team worked with me every step of the way to make sure we had a perfect wedding. Beyond the venue being absolutely stunning (you feel like a princess!), the service and amenities were above and beyond.

I wish I could tell every bride I know to get married at the Van Dusen Mansion! From the phenomenal building/atmosphere, to the amazing planning help from Monica and her team, to the perfect staff support the whole day of the wedding, I would get married here a million times over! My guests continue to tell me it was the most beautiful venue they had ever attended a wedding at! I planned this wedding from out of state and truly did not have to lift a finger, I told Monica my vision and it came to life the day of with very little stress! 1000000/10 stars!

We recently celebrated our wedding at Van Dusen Mansion and everything went so smoothly. The team at VDM included Shelly who was our day of coordinator at the VDM and Monica Sanger who was the main person in charge of coordinating and ensuring all the planning process is smooth and stress-free. The venue is absolutely beautiful. We got married on June 22, 2024. The leaves and flowers have bloomed. The string lights that lit up at night made the ambiance so romantic. Our guests couldn't stop raving about the picturesque setting. My now husband and I are working from New York so we had a lot of back and forth emails with Monica and she was always responsive. We are so grateful to VDM team for making our wedding day everything we dreamed of and more!

We had a beautiful wedding on a Sunday afternoon here. The staff helped us to make this a very special day. From the beautiful courtyard to the lovely ballroom each room has a great memory for us now. We would recommend checking it out. There is not a single detail that they leave out on making your wedding day everything you want it to be.

We just recently got married at The Van Dusen Mansion and had the absolute best wedding in the world! The venue is stunning with so much character and historic charm that it made us truly feel like it was a one in a million kind of venue. Our wedding was seamless with how it was laid out where the entire day is at one location moving from the mansion, ballroom, courtyard and carriage house. The best part was the team who was there for you every step of the way. When we inquired, we worked with Jenna Zamjahn in the beginning of planning stages, and we connected with her instantly where she felt like an old, trusted friend. Jenna is super knowledgeable, helpful, and just an absolute joy to work with that we knew that this was the place for our big day. Once we decided on the venue, we worked with the wedding coordinator, Monica Sanger and because of her, it was a seamless process. Monica is the best at what she does. She goes above and beyond and made us feel like her top priority, super attentive and always there for us if we needed help. Her strong work ethic, eye-to-detail, compassionate heart are what make her stand out. We are forever grateful for having to work with Jenna and Monica and the whole VDM team for our special day. If it wasn’t for them, none of it was possible. This venue and the people are truly one of a kind and anyone would be lucky to have their wedding here!
