Built in 1874 and located in the lovely small town of Mount Olive, North Carolina, The Southerland-Burnette House is a historic venue that offers a unique experience for weddings or any special occasion.

Our story is rooted in love and family. In 1996 as my husband and I were planning our wedding we wanted a reception venue that was unique and special. We were fortunate that the previous owners of the Southerland-Burnette House were gracious enough to allow us to use their beautiful home as the setting for a perfect ending to our wedding day. The Southerland-Burnette House has held a special place in our hearts ever since. When our family was able to acquire the house in September of 2021, we wanted to create a space where others could celebrate special occasions in the same historic home we have come to love. As a family business, we are dedicated to helping family and friends gather in a beautiful venue to make memories they can treasure for a lifetime. We are truly thankful for the opportunity to offer our services in a beautiful venue while preserving a piece of our town’s history.
