Facilities and Capacity
Whether couples are planning an intimate or grand wedding, they will find accommodating, expansive event spaces at the Scottsdale Resort. Depending on the setting selected, up to 1,000 guests can fit comfortably. For an elegant ceremony, the ballrooms, with their classic decor and sparkling fixtures, are sure to impress. The romantic Grand Coronado Ballroom adds a sense of sophistication to any event. Adjacent to this space is the Sunset Plaza which offers a refreshing open-air setting. Outdoors, there are six unique sites for couples to choose from. The tucked-away Alameda area features a soft sandstone courtyard that can accommodate 50 to 500 loved ones. For a more intimate event, the Garden Court is a quaint space decorated with natural stone tiles and soft lighting. The Paradise Park Lawn welcomes guests through a rustic gate under swaying palm trees. Spanish colonial hallways frame this grass area, reflecting the surrounding impressive architecture. In Bennie’s Courtyard, couples and their loved ones are invited to dine and dance under twinkling lights and beside a grand stone fireplace. Any of these event spaces can be personalized to meet the soon-to-be newlyweds’ vision. All of the sites, both indoors and outdoors, provide a scenic desert backdrop for wedding photographs, as well.

This review is a little late, but our wedding in March 2022 was absolutely amazing! As many reviews mention, Emily is so great to work with-- she is SO responsive, professional, and just super cool! She communicated so well with our planner and vendors to make sure everything was perfect on the day of! Most of our guests were from out of town and many of them stayed at the hotel. We got rave reviews about the accommodations, the food, and, of course, the wedding! Highly recommend Emily & The Scottsdale Resort at McCormick Ranch!

Best covid wedding of 2020!
Baby Hook!!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you, for making our special day run so smoothly and going above and beyond with our ceremony and reception. It was such a pleasure working with Emily Kix, coordinating everything together while dealing with a global pandemic, and pulling it all off with flying colors!!! You Rock Emily, and your crew at The Scottsdale are top notch. Our big day was perfect and we are excited to celebrate our 1 year anniversary with you in October! The Scottsdale Resort at McCormick Ranch is the PERFECT location for all of your wedding ceremony/reception wants and needs.

Beautiful venue, very happy client
Had my husband's birthday party here on 11/21/20 and everything from the staff, to the venue (Bennie's Courtyard), and all the details were amazing. The staff from Emily Kix, the venue coordinator, to Tim, Francisco, and everyone else who worked my party at the 5:00-11pm shift on 11/21 really went above and beyond to ensure my party was smooth and my guests were happy. I'm a high maintenance client as I'm in the events industry and they exceeded my expectations, accommodated every request at the very last minute, took care of my personal items (I brought favors and linens they folded and laid out for me), were timely, responsive, and just overall such a pleasure to work with.
As far as the hotel rooms (we stayed for one night), talk about amazing customer service! My room was spotless, the bed was comfy, the decor was very classic and cute, the pillows were luxurious, there was a light up makeup mirror and seated vanity (made putting on my makeup so comfortable) and because it was my husband's big birthday, they left us a bottle of champagne with a nice handwritten greeting card. I was blown away.
I'm in the events industry and I look at venues all day so it's hard to impress me but The Scottsdale Resort at McCormick Ranch is the best venue I've worked with, easy, affordable, beautiful, great food, staff is on their game, and I've gotten a lot of compliments from my guests about the venue. Not to mention they are super Covid safe (we had our party outside), they spaced out the chairs and tables, they wrap the silverware separately, they always wear masks, and I highly recommend them.

The Scottsdale Resort at McCormick Ranch
We couldn’t have picked a better venue for our wedding than The Scottsdale Resort at McCormick Ranch. We toured a lot of other venues and resorts prior to visiting McCormick Ranch and once we saw the grounds of the resort, we knew that this would be a perfect setting for our special weekend. Our wedding was multicultural that mixed both Hindu and Buddhist traditions and took place over 2 days and consisted of 4 separate events. Everything turned out better than we could have ever imagined thanks to the staff of the resort.
We can’t say enough great things about Chef Subhi. Each event of our wedding had food service and Chef Subhi created amazing menus for each meal. His knowledge and execution of the traditional Indian dishes blew our mind. He was able to execute everything from Indian street foods, traditional Indian dishes, and also mix in an Asian fusion style that bridged the gap of pallets of taste. People that attended are still raving about the delicious food Chef Subhi was able to make.
Our wedding cake made by the inhouse baker Mary was amazing!!! Her ability to not only bake a delicious cake, the ability to artfully design it with our color scheme took it over the top.
We had a lot of out of town guests that needed to be situated for the weekend. Debra was able to coordinate with us and our wedding planner in order to make everyone’s lodging situation seamless.
None of this would have been possible without the hard work of Emily Kix. The moment we met her to discuss our possible wedding plans we knew that the McCormick Ranch was the venue for our wedding. She made us feel comfortable and was awesome to work with. Without her coordination with our wedding planner our wonderful wedding weekend would not have been as amazing as it turned out!!! We highly recommend The Scottsdale Resort at McCormick Ranch!!!

Emily Kix is amazing to work with.
I am getting married at Scottsdale Resort at McCormick Ranch in April 2020. Before I got engaged, I had pictured my wedding at Scottsdale Resort at McCormick Ranch. Love the resort that it's hidden off the beaten path, and its own oasis. Very cute and quaint, and love Paradise Park Lawn and the ballrooms are a great size with amazing chandeliers. I have planned events for a living, and I know how important the staff is to your special day. Let me just say, Emily blew me away. I was already in love with the resort, but did have other options in mind, but I didnt have to keep looking when I was working with Emily. I had a lot of questions, and she was so quick to respond, and listened to me as I explained what i was looking for. She had photos to show to visualize, she understood my budget, and overall an amazing personality and person to work with. Emily is top notch, and I am beyond excited to have her help plan my big day. She is proactive with recommendations when she starts to see your vision, and totally sold the venue to me. There are so many venues out there, but not all have amazing service like Emily Kix.

Wow this venue was incredible!! Unbelievable pricing for what you get. They are willing to negotiate and help your dream come true in your budget. The entire staff is extremely responsive, organized, kind and want you to have the best time ever- and that is what happened! I used to think wedding reviews were dumb because everyone loves their wedding but I do not leave 5 stars for everyone and this resort deserves 10 stars!! I accidentally got red wine spilled on my wedding dress and the staff immediately assisted me getting it out and getting back on the dance floor right away. They left us chocolate covered strawberries and champagne in the honeymoon suite and my husbands favorite candy. The wedding cake that was included was absolutely stunning and everyone raved about it. I can't wait for this to be the location we spend future anniversaries reminiscing in our love story. It is also slightly hidden which makes it more of a gem than other hotels also.
