Rev. Kyle officiated our wedding back in 2015. Up until meeting with Rev. Kyle, we had a horrible experience navigating our respective churches (I am a non-practicing Catholic and my husband is a non-practicing Lutheran), we lived together at the time and were more or less shamed by our respective parishes. We were heartbroken and felt really defeated in our search for an officiant that could marry us in the eyes of God, despite not being particularly religious. Rev. Kyle was the opposite of all of that, welcomed us with open arms and conducted a truly beautiful, personalized ceremony. We did participate in the pre-wedding counseling, which I expected to be really awkward, and Rev. Kyle made it fun and really useful. 7 years and two beautiful babies later, I still remember the open communication my husband and I had during our sessions and to this day keep my random socks in the hamper and not in the living room :)

I would recommend Rev. Kyle a million times over and am very very happy with our choice to ask Rev. Kyle to marry us.

Kyle was without a doubt our best decision in wedding planning. We dragged our feet finding an officiant because it seemed like such a huge task and we didn’t really know what we wanted our ceremony to look like, we just knew it was very important to us. We both struggle warming up to people, but after our first meeting with Kyle, we knew we could openly share what our hopes were for or ceremony. He worked with us to incorporate our values, sense of humor, and families into a beautiful and unique ceremony that we will remember forever. Looking back, the ceremony was by far our favorite part of the day and that is only because of the meaningful way Kyle officiated. Kyle was a joy to work with. From the moment we connected, we knew he was the one to marry us. Every time we met for planning, he was fully prepared with materials. Kyle Severson is an amazing officiant. He presided at our daughter’s wedding and it was a beautiful ceremony. He was able to navigate all the family wishes for the ceremony and include sections that made it meaningful to all of us. When he recounted their love story it was personal, funny and charming. Pastor Kyle was very responsive to our requests and was always accessible to answer any questions for us. He was also flexible and open to ideas based on the wedding venue's requests which made for a very meaningful ceremony that wasn't overly religious.

To Kyle, our wedding was about more than just a day. He spent time with us in the months leading up to the wedding and provided us with tools to strengthen our relationship and future marriage. He was open and caring. He listened to our needs and respected our choices. I couldn’t imagine having anyone else marry us! Pastor Kyle helped us through all of the spiritual aspects of beginning our lives together. We felt the pre marriage counseling helped us to learn more about one another and ask questions. His support for the LGBTQ+ community meant so much to me and Gary. The day went perfectly and although God gets the credit for our wedding day, we think KYLE gets a bit of credit too! :-)
