Chapel Events is a national Historic Landmark located in downtown Bakersfield, California. Chapel Events features spaces for both inside and outside events. We have multiple reception venue locations to meet your needs. Chapel Events delivers a classic setting for you to start your lives as a married couple. If you are looking for an intimate elopement with close friends, or a larger traditional-style wedding ceremony, this venue is adaptable for all kinds of life celebrations.

Facilities and Capacity

Chapel Events offers a historic space to accommodate parties up to 350 guests. In addition to the chapel space, the Historic Landmark provides bridal changing areas for the bridal party to get ready for their special day. The venue features a One of Kind ballroom that is suitable to hold receptions, rehearsal dinners, engagement parties, and much more. Located insside its iconic gates is a gorgeous garden courtyard that can seat 150 guests. The iconic tower rovids the perfect place for the bride to prepare for her day and take stunning photos.

Services Offered

Chapel Events offers unique spaces for your use on your special day. Additionally, the chapel provides tables, chairs, linens, glassware, china, and flatware. Setup and cleanup services are also included in rental packages. This venue offers event planning services and will work with you to make sure the space brings your vision alive. Also, the property has a full sized parking lot and wheelchair access making it easy for all your guests to arrive with ease. Valet parking is also available

My wedding coordinator

Seriously I cannot thank Brandy enough! She was the most helpful, kind, sweetest & patient wedding coordinator I could have ever asked for! Always had a smile on her face & always stayed so positive even through out little hiccups here and there! She always made sure my appointments where set up on time & accordingly. Without her idk what I would have done! She always took care of the things I couldn’t do, or didn’t know how to do & always answered any questions I had no matter how little my question was. I never had to wonder if she would answer or text back she was always on it! Always kept it so professional yet still so down to earth! Can’t thank her enough!

Amazing Service

John at Chapel Events went above and beyond to provide the absolute best service for the baby shower i threw my friend. He was very organized and he knows his stuff when it comes to planning events. He has great inventory. He provided table clothes, runners, charger plates, napkins, a balloon arch, & cupcake stands. He also made bouquets of flowers for the center pieces, provided tea lights & brought extra dishes for the appetizers we provided. He provided almost everything we needed for the event and even brought extra things i would have forgotten. He kept great communication throughout the week before the event & he even helped us set the event up and gave great input. The baby shower turned out so great. I would definitely recommend Chapel Events to everyone for any event.

Excellent service and decor! 😍

John at Chapel Events really came through with some amazing decor for my baby shower. I gave him the colors I had in mind and John brought my vision to life with beautiful tablescapes and additional decorations. Chapel Events really took my baby shower from basic to FABULOUS! I am beyond grateful & I’ll definitely be hiring them for future events.

Olive & Orange was an overall fantastic experience, when I inquired about the Venue, Staff responded right away with all the information I would need.

My review of the Olive and Orange Bistro was over a five star review. The pricing, decorations and food was excellent. They created a package for my budget. The Venue is beautiful and classy! My guest were very impressed and enjoyed the evening from beginning to end. I am already planning my next event!

Practically Perfect in Every Way

From my first meeting when I got to share my ideas to the end of my birthday party this was a perfect experience. Brandy made me feel heard in my ideas for the party & she filled in all the gaps with amazingness of things I didn’t think of. She contacted all my vendors & took that load off. She got sick the week of my party & John the owner too over seamlessly. He kept me up to date throughout the week of the event. Amazing & worth it. I didn’t have to worry about a thing. My favorite moment was the surprise sparkler dance.

Beautiful venue

I had my baby shower here and I can honestly say I loved it! Everything was GREAT! Brandy help me threw out the whole party and she was very helpful and friendly. I would recommend this place for any event. Beautiful art everywhere and spacious.
