Seriously I cannot thank Brandy enough! She was the most helpful, kind, sweetest & patient wedding coordinator I could have ever asked for! Always had a smile on her face & always stayed so positive even through out little hiccups here and there! She always made sure my appointments where set up on time & accordingly. Without her idk what I would have done! She always took care of the things I couldn’t do, or didn’t know how to do & always answered any questions I had no matter how little my question was. I never had to wonder if she would answer or text back she was always on it! Always kept it so professional yet still so down to earth! Can’t thank her enough! -

John at Chapel Events went above and beyond to provide the absolute best service for the baby shower i threw my friend. He was very organized and he knows his stuff when it comes to planning events. He has great inventory. He provided table clothes, runners, charger plates, napkins, a balloon arch, & cupcake stands. He also made bouquets of flowers for the center pieces, provided tea lights & brought extra dishes for the appetizers we provided. He provided almost everything we needed for the event and even brought extra things i would have forgotten. He kept great communication throughout the week before the event & he even helped us set the event up and gave great input. The baby shower turned out so great. I would definitely recommend Chapel Events to everyone for any event. -

Excellent service and decor! 😍
John at Chapel Events really came through with some amazing decor for my baby shower. I gave him the colors I had in mind and John brought my vision to life with beautiful tablescapes and additional decorations. Chapel Events really took my baby shower from basic to FABULOUS! I am beyond grateful & I’ll definitely be hiring them for future events. -

Olive & Orange was an overall fantastic experience, when I inquired about the Venue, Staff responded right away with all the information I would need.
My review of the Olive and Orange Bistro was over a five star review. The pricing, decorations and food was excellent. They created a package for my budget. The Venue is beautiful and classy! My guest were very impressed and enjoyed the evening from beginning to end. I am already planning my next event! -

Practically Perfect in Every Way
From my first meeting when I got to share my ideas to the end of my birthday party this was a perfect experience. Brandy made me feel heard in my ideas for the party & she filled in all the gaps with amazingness of things I didn’t think of. She contacted all my vendors & took that load off. She got sick the week of my party & John the owner too over seamlessly. He kept me up to date throughout the week of the event. Amazing & worth it. I didn’t have to worry about a thing. My favorite moment was the surprise sparkler dance. -

Literally was the best we couldnt picture our wedding turning out any other way! Brandy was beyond helpful and is just such a caring helpful loving person that i am proud to call a friend! I was stressing on a few things but anything and everything I had stressed on Brandy found a way to help me and could not thank her nor the chapel enough, We where blessed to tie the knott here and the staff is excellent and just as outstanding as the chapel itself. Again we thank you guys and highly recommend to have any celebration here at the Tower you would never regret it and it will forever hold a piece in your heart.

This was a great venue with great atmosphere. The people at the chapel were great and John was great to work with as well as Brandy. Our guests and family loved the venue so much and turns out it won an award. Yay!!! My weddding was great and would recommend it to others. -

A Wedding That Looked Like a Million Bucks!
Just had our wedding there last week! We booked the Old Town Chapel back in August and immediately John was very responsive and accommodating. They were flexible when we told them how we wanted a modest wedding with a limited number of guests and a small wedding party and they gave us a quote that suited our budget. Brandi was always accessible and ready to take any questions that we had. For the rehearsal night and the day-of, the staff here made sure we were taken care of and that everything in the chapel was picture perfect! When I said how much I loved the acoustics of the chapel itself, and that I had dreamed of having real choral music in my wedding ceremony, they used the existing choir loft where we put my choir of twenty! It was the most exquisite way to set the tone for a beautiful ceremony, and it was a personal and unique touch for me. All my guests admired both the inside and outside of the entire building. The large antique windows in the back of the chapel provide warm, gorgeous lighting for an afternoon wedding. The old bell tower provides both a great photo backdrop from inside or outside as well as a fun activity for us to do immediately at the end of the ceremony. They have many fun and interesting pieces all throughout the bridal suite, and it was fun to explore the decor of the place! Overall, my wedding day was exactly what we wanted and I will definitely be recommending this place for other events. -

Amazing!!!
Just got married there on Feb. 1st!! Had such an amazing experience! They are literally the only venue we checked out here in town and they hooked us the minute we walked in! The chapel is so gorgeous!!! I immediately fell in love! Brandy and John were so helpful! I literally couldn’t have done it without them! They were so on top of everything even though we had a few wedding mishaps ;) I truly enjoyed my experience there and can’t wait to have my baby shower there when the time comes!! They get an A+ in my book hands down!! I had the most amazing day! -

Really Great People in Fabulous Place
Love Love Love the Chapel. It is a really special place with extraordinary people. The chapel has a special look and feel. It takes you to another time with glowing light. Puctures were wonderful. There are so many beautiful places for photos. The staff were really great. Very accommodating and welcoming. If you want a wonderful happy and historic place this is it. -

Realy special place. So glad I found it.
Realy beautifully exacuted place. You dont expect a place with so much beauty and charm hidden in the middle of bakersfield. So pleased to have found it and very happy with the quality of service. I feel like i got so much more than I expected. It is a must see to believe. It was more than i expected from the photos online.
The staff was so friendly and accessible. They seemed to really care about our needs and went the extra mile to give us really good service. -

Great people to work with
Venue is outstanding. My son got married there a couple of weeks ago and we'r couldn't ask for a better place. We had the rehearsal, rehearsal dinner, the wedding and the reception there. Place was awesome, staff were great and very helpful. Totally recommend this place. -

John and Brandy really came through for my wedding! I really appreciated their flexibility and desire to meet my hopes and dreams and make them a reality. Even when there were minor hiccups John was quick to fix them without hesitation and go beyond what was expected. The chapel itself is beautiful and great for rustic/vintage vibes! Thankful for a place like this that allowed me and my husband to have our special day! -

Chapel Events did the most AMAZING job for my mother's 76th birthday. The table settings were simple, elegant, and absolutely gorgeous! John was so incredibly helpful and had such a keen sense of style, the day went smoothly and we were able to enjoy ourselves without having to worry about anything. We are truly grateful to Chapel Events for their dedication to their craft that made our event spectacular! -

First off, let me start by saying no matter where John Kilby or Chapel Events fell short no one was going to take away the fact that our day was beautiful and still a dream come true after the year of planning and working so hard to make it come to life. There are several breaches of contract that have been made on behalf of Chapel Events which thankfully I documented every single one of them while still chugging along with this company that I invested in to execute my wedding. I will be taking up these issues with the owner of Chapel myself because I was very impressed with some elements of my wedding but still totally disappointed and dissatisfied with the shortcomings and customer service that lead up to and happened the day of. Certain issues such as not serving my wedding guests dinner in a timely manner, no water, tea or coffee bar, our guests having to ask the bar to refill their water pitchers? Forgetting to bring certain guests cakes which included myself, my husband and the entire bridal party. I had to ask for my own wedding cake which I thought was just totally insane. There was a clerical issue with the honeymoon voucher that we paid for and the owner, John, found it necessary to do a Facebook live about it the Monday after my wedding. He did not name me specifically but he made it sound like I was to blame for their error, an error which costed us our entire Honeymoon which was completely the fault of Chapel Events. When you issue a certificate or voucher to a customer, you as the vendor should be the person to activate it. You should know the process and crucial information that is needed to book these vacations in a timely manner ESPECIALLY when that travel company chooses to carry out business via snail mail. Because of John and his staffs error, we had to pay for our entire Honeymoon out of pocket which was an unexpected expense that should have never happened. Our wedding was beautiful and a day to remember but it was not without issues dealing with Chapel Events. I would never recommend this company to any bride. The Tower venue is amazing, and DJ SK was the best. For myself and my husband, our DJ saved the day. -

disappointed I didn't have the experience I saw most all other brides had here. I don't believe we got the service or actual items that we paid for. I wouldn't recommend this place. My wedding was beautiful but a disaster for the most part, Brandy tried to help as much as she could but we ended up missing things we paid for and everything was unorganized the day of. Overall 2.5/5 stars for me. -
