The Old Schoolhouse is a wedding venue located at the heart of the Willamette Valley wine region in Newberg, Oregon. Built in 1928 and filled with unbelievable views of hills and orchards, the indoor and outdoor ceremony and reception areas have incredible backdrops. Downtown Portland is just a 45-minute drive away, while wineries and accommodations are even closer. Mother-and-daughter team Erica Wegryzniak and Teri Caprio lovingly restored this property to turn it into the charming setting it is today. Erica's background lies in the hospitality industry, while Teri has founded several successful businesses. With this venue, they combine their talents and sense of style to create somewhere unforgettable couples can celebrate their love.
Facilities and Capacity
The Old Schoolhouse offers three unique event spaces to host ceremonies, receptions, and other pre-wedding gatherings. The ballroom welcomes up to 200 guests for a ceremony, while a seated meal can have up to 130 attendees. Here, tall windows fill the space with sunlight while a built-in bar is ready to facilitate those celebratory toasts. There is also a full kitchen for your catering company to use, as well as a private get-ready space in the basement. This area includes a lounge and dress steamer for added ease. Outdoors, couples can celebrate in the orchard or on the one-acre garden. Ceremonies and receptions can both be held in these settings, with the natural beauty of the grounds acting as a picturesque background.

Perfect and accommodating!
Pandemic restrictions threw us a curveball just about every week but Erica was so flexible and accommodating. I've heard many wedding venue horror stories but our case was far from a mess.
The venue was beautiful and the perfect for our size wedding of 80 inside and 125 outside.
We went with The Old Schoolhouse's partner "Premiere Catering," and they worked so perfectly as a team. Food was amazing and service was great.
