About

The Old Mill Village Wedding Venue

Where Love is Celebrated

Reserve The Village for your special day

The Old Mill Village is a collection of 7 grand historic buildings, creating an elegant backdrop of Old World Charm for your wedding day. We offer 11 acres set in the quiet rolling countryside, surrounded by The Wild Buffalo preserve, Amish farms, and serene lakes. When you reserve this beautiful venue for your wedding day, there are endless options to create the beginning of your happily ever after.

With so many features to see at this property – here is an introduction to our timeless Venue:

#1.The Reception Barn is garnished with stained glass, brick floors and large timbers, holding up to 270 guests. There are two elegant hand carved-15ft harvest tables that can be used as the head table or gifts and decor. The barn has heat and air, guest seating on one main level.

#2. The Mill Lodge Chapel is decorated with stained glass, century year old curved pews, and brick glazed floors, holding 170 guests as an option for indoor ceremonies.

The Mill Lodge also has a one of a kind 2 story receiving room, complete with fireplace, large barn beams and loads of character. Many people choose to serve cocktails or appetizers from this beautiful space. There is a long covered porch lining the Lodge –where couples have met before walking down the aisle.

#3. The Stone Parlor is a little gem reserved for the bride and her bridesmaids. Covered in 3 feet of open cut stone- these rocks sparkle and glisten in fairytale measure. This building is one of our most photographed and a fitting backdrop for a bride’s excitement.

#4. The Water Mill has history written on the walls of days gone by. There are 2 levels: the main floor holds the warming kitchen, restrooms and an open seating area. The lower level is reserved for the groom and groomsmen. The grooms den offers a poker table, games, and vintage music collection as a private space to prepare before the ceremony.

#5. The Post Office is our guest suite rental. Loaded with charm, this

3 story brick beauty once hosted thousands of letters when in working operation. Today it shines like a post card with tin ceilings, ornate wood carved trim, big windows, and a romantic fireplace area. The Post Office is included for 2 nights in our weekend package. If you would like to book more evenings in the Post Office it rents our for $85.00 per night.

Our Village has many options for Ceremonies:

  1. The brick aisle can seat 400 or more. You can choose 2 different arches or bring your own. 2. Our red rustic barn doors and elegant chandelier set against the trees is another backdrop. This area can accommodate a small, mid and large number of guest.
  2. Our canopy of trees sets the stage for a shaded outdoor ceremony in the warmer months. It is a covered shaded area for small to mid size weddings.
  3. The open lawn is a blank slate offering another area for larger guest parties.
  4. The Mill Lodge has a long covered porch with hand hewn beams, giving you a rustic backdrop over looking the canopy of trees. This allows for more intimate ceremonies.
  5. The Reception Barn with green stained glass, black scrolling iron and a polished brick floor is a warm and lavish place to gather.

Photography backdrops: We have unique features to get one of a kind photographs. Here are just some of the options: 1. The 6ft. PS I love you sign. 2. The life size sculpted white Love sign. 3. The historic brick Post Office. 4. The historic Water Mill offers a story with signatures dating back to 1871 written on the white beams.
