The Nineteenth Century Club is a beautiful wedding venue in Oak Park, Illinois.
The Nineteenth Century Charitable Association's beautiful Oak Park Landmark building has served the surrounding communities since its construction in 1928. The Classical Revival 2-story building exudes historical charm and inspiring awe for every guest. The Nineteenth Century offers multiple event spaces to fit your needs, with hanging chandeliers, a full stage, original hardwood floors, and a lofty ceiling.
The Margaret Houck Ballroom is a beautiful and refined space for your ceremony and reception. Windows line both sides of the ballroom giving you plenty of natural light, casting an iridescent glow over the hardwood floors. From small to medium sized parties, consider the South Dining Room or the North Dining Room. Cozy yet elegant, these two rooms offer the perfect atmosphere.

Team

John “Woody” Linton started cooking at the age of 14 in his home town of Kenosha, Wisconsin. Upon graduation, he sought out Hyde Park to attend the Culinary Institute of America. His first landing was in Scottsdale, working at the award-winning restaurant Vu, with Chef William Bradley. Following this milestone, Woody helped open The Alto Ristorante at the Hyatt Regency, Scottsdale. John has also worked at Lake Park Bistro in Milwaukee, the Bohemian Grove in Northern California, and seasonally at the Talon Lodge in Sitka, Alaska, as their Executive Chef.
He opened and acted as Executive Chef of Hearth Restaurant in Evanston for several years. He helps out Venge Vineyards in Calistoga, California and is the Catering Chef at Oak Park Banquets and the Nineteenth Century Charitable Association in Oak Park.
