About

The Mora Farm is a barn and farm wedding venue located in Waterman, Illinois. This property offers a rustic-inspired space where couples can exchange vows and celebrate long into the night. Boasting ample room across the grounds, this location benefits from beautiful natural surroundings that provide a secluded setting. An old barn refurbished for a modern-day purpose, it is more than fitting of some of life’s most important events.

Facilities and Capacity

For the ceremony at The Mora Farm, the charming cobblestone pavailion provides an intimate space where couples can swap vows and become newlyweds. This place provides a romantic area ideal for starting the first chapter of married life, and it is located not far from the main barn. After the “I do” event has taken place, the couple of honor are welcome to stroll around the grounds to enjoy some photo opportunities. The cobblestone pavailion can easily be repurposed for the cocktail hour, while the Chicken Coop Bar is also available for drinks throughout the evening. When the time arrives for the grand reception, the barn provides more than enough room for a large gathering of guests. Inside, wooden features of exposed beams and high ceilings create a warm and inviting ambience. Here, everybody can dine, dance, and enjoy each other’s company as the once-in-a-lifetime celebrations take shape. Up to 200 people can gather here for a good time where a dance floor and a loft also await. Other available spaces include an open-air patio and fireplace pavilion that would be ideal for evening drinks or al fresco dining.

Services Offered

A variety of event rentals may be provided by the staff at The Mora Farm. Some of these include an altar, chairs, tables, flatware, linens, and more. Setup and cleanup can also be provided on site. As such, this property can be embellished nicely ahead of the memorable festivities. What’s more, bartenders are delighted to serve drinks from the Chicken Coop Bar, ensuring that everyone can enjoy their favorite beverages.

The Mora Farm was the perfect spot for our Anniversary Party

We booked our Anniversary Party at The Mora Farm, and we could not have been more pleased with how things went. We received multiple compliments throughout the evening from guests. Jim, Teresa, and Vivian were great to work with, including recommendations for our food vendor. Both Jim and Teresa were present during our party, in case anything needed to be addressed. But everything was as expected. And the grounds were lovely, providing for lots of picture-taking opportunities. The day was warm but the air conditioning in the Barn worked great! Everyone was comfortable, even with all of the dancing going on. We would definitely consider booking another event at The Mora Farm!

Pandemic Wedding

Our wedding was canceled due to the pandemic but with new openings in the state we hurried to find a venue that accommodated to the states mandates. We literally planned our wedding in 2 weeks. Nicole and everyone at Mora Farm worked around the clock to ensure our wedding was amazing! We are SOO thankful on how Nicole was able to work tirelessly with my vendors to ensure everything would run smoothly in such a short period of time. I can’t thank everyone enough at The Mora Farm for working so hard on our wedding day to ensure it perfect. Jamie and Teresa treated us like family. My husband and I were so thankful to be blessed to have found a the perfect venue for our wedding. Just for one day we were able to escape the pandemic and enjoy our wedding in such a beautiful oasis. Thank you SOOO much The Mora Farm. ♥️ Guadalupe & Octavio Salinas.

Incredible Setting & Service

We could not be more grateful to Jaime and Teresa for everything. This venue was our first decision we made for the wedding, and by far the easiest and definitely the best one. Mora is already just a gorgeous setting, but Jim has fixed it up and shined it to a perfect finish. The barn is breathtaking, with the high ceilings, chandeliers in the rafters and the loft - could not be prettier. The getting ready area in the home is just beautiful and so picturesque, and honestly everywhere you look is a photo-worthy opportunity. We had a DOWNPOUR during the whole day of our wedding, and Jaime, Teresa, and their son all worked together with our team of wedding coordinators (Events DNA, also a recommendation from Jaime that we could not have done without) to make sure our guests were comfortable and dry. The bathrooms were the best I've ever seen for a farm wedding setting, and every corner of the farm is just beautiful. We didn't even end up getting to use the grounds sue to the rain, and I still feel like we got our money's worth. Also, the venue is BYOB. HUGE PLUS. You won't regret throwing an event at Mora Farm.
