TL;DR: The venue and family of staff are amazing, and we could not be happier about our perfect day.

I am a very type A person, and I did months of research on wedding venues before narrowing it down to M@CV and one other venue (UMLAUF). The M@CV was perfect on paper for several reasons: location, value, and staff. The location was perfect because we wanted to have our wedding close to Austin (great tourist destination for non-Texans), and we are Longhorns from Houston. The value of the venue is unmatched: with the rental price, we got two closets full of decor (this cut down how much I had to spend on one-time use decor and/or rentals by 90%), all the tables and chairs and steamed linens, and a team of amazing staff. I loved how the coordinators worked with me to create my vision rather than pigeon holing me into a list of required vendors (typical of most luxury venues). This flexibility allowed me to create a super personalized wedding that all our guests loved and enjoyed. (They also have all-inclusive options if that is your cup of tea.)

Julie, Katherine, and Becky were so amazing at coordinating our vendors and managing everything the day of. Katherine and Becky are so attentive and made me feel like we were the only wedding they were hosting. I must’ve sent them hundreds of emails, changing my mind about things many times, but their kindness and efficaciousness translated to all parts of the wedding planning process and into how the rest of their team performed their jobs. Everyone who worked with us from the venue was so kind and genuine.

Some other notable perks are the 23 on site cottages. We loved having a de facto “hotel block” where our family and friends could stay. It was so convenient and fun. The M@CV typically only books one wedding per weekend, so we could stay on site for two nights. We were able to do all the decorating on Friday, have the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner, stay over then wake up on Saturday all ready to go. It was the best, un-hurried experience.

Our day could not have been more perfect thanks to the Mansion and the family of people there. Every time I think of our wedding day, I am so happy about choosing the M@CV and I cannot imagine having our wedding anywhere else with any other vendor team.

The Mansion at ColoVista was the perfect venue for our nuptials. The staff was so friendly, helpful and accommodating. The venue itself is so beautiful, you have to see it in person to believe it. The outdoor space overlooks the Colorado River from a bluff with pastures on the other side of the river. We said our vows just as the sun was setting and it was absolutely perfect. The on-site cottages provided a perfect place for the wedding party to stay overnight, and we kept the party going well after the reception had ended. It was a perfect day and ColaVista ensured that it was. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone who is looking to have a classy wedding or other event in the Bastrop area!

Would give 10 stars if i could! The mansion is gorgeous and family owned by the sweetest family. Julie ensured that I had everything I needed and was always incredibly helpful and responsive. I will definitely be back and plan to recommend the Mansion to anyone looking for a wedding or party venue! They accommodate to small or large parties.

Having been a wedding coordinator for many years I can truly say that The Mansion at ColoVista was amazing. I have worked with many Venues but I have never had a more positive experience than with this one and the team that manages it. The wedding I was doing on 12/4/2021 was for my niece so I wanted everything to be exceptional and I can say that it was everything she had dreamed it would be. The coordinators for the Mansion, Becky and Katherine, were the best. They knew what I was thinking before I could even ask for it. And the owners Julie and Bobby Browne went above and beyond on everything. I have never worked with a team that was so attentive and professional but so personable. They made you feel like family, so every detail was handled like it was their own. The venue itself is one of the most beautiful and well-kept I have had the pleasure of working with. Every room had an extra personal touch which made it feel like home. The flow of the room from the entry to the exit was so complete. The bridal suite was perfect and so roomy. My niece had 12 bridesmaids and there was plenty of room for hair, makeup and for them to dress. I also was the florist for the wedding and Julie allowed us to use some of her vases and pieces which was a huge help for not having to transport all of my pieces. Everyone is still talking about what an amazing day it was. Julie, Becky and Katherine made sure everything came off without a hitch and believe me that is not always the case with some of the venues I have used before. This was a large wedding with at least 235 guests, 12 bridesmaids, 2 ring bearers, 3 junior groomsmen and 1 flower girl and they made sure the wedding started on time and stayed on schedule the entire night. I wish I could get all of my clients to use this Venue. It is truly and bride's and coordinators dream. Thank you ColoVista for making my girls dreams come true. I can’t say enough good things about The Mansion at Colovista. This venue is a jack of all trades & a one stop shop for the entire weekend - on site cottages for the weekend, golfing, rehearsal dinner accommodations on site, bridal suites for day of. The venue sells itself with its views and southern charm, but it’s the team on site that is truly a blessing. They provided my husband and I with the most magical wedding we could have ever dreamed of. Julie & Bobby went above and beyond – they brought our vision to life and helped us during the entire planning process. The onsite coordinators, Becky & Katherine, were so easy to work with and made planning a wedding enjoyable. They communicated with all of my vendors (florist, DJ, photographer, videographer, caterer, etc) and put in full effort in making the wedding less stressful. Our guests are still talking about how wonderful and beautiful the wedding was!

We wouldn’t change one thing about our wedding. I promise you will not regret having your wedding at The Mansion!
