There are truly no words to describe how incredible our daughter’s wedding day was—but I’ll absolutely try my best! The Mackey House is, without a doubt, the best wedding venue in Savannah. From the moment we drove down the breathtaking, tree-lined driveway, we knew this was the one. The grounds are absolutely stunning—the gardens, the fountains, the romantic ambiance—it all felt like a scene from a movie.

What truly set The Mackey House apart, though, was the exceptional staff. Every interaction was warm, positive, and professional. They were always smiling, welcoming, and eager to help with anything we needed.

A huge shoutout to Dave, who served as both the officiant and DJ. His great sense of humor had so many of our guests asking, “Where did you find him?!” He made the ceremony feel personal, heartfelt, and fun—truly unforgettable.

And an enormous thank you to Andie from Emerald & Ivy Events. Her bubbly energy, calm presence, and constant support throughout the planning process—and especially on the big day—were invaluable. She guided us through every step with confidence and joy.

Even a bit of rain in the forecast didn’t shake this incredible team. Dave tracked the weather closely and made the call to proceed with an outdoor ceremony—and it was perfect. Andie calmly worked behind the scenes with the in-house and vendor teams to ensure we had a solid “Plan B” in case weather forced a change, but we didn’t need it! Not a drop of rain fell during first-look photos or the vows, and the sun even peeked through the clouds as they said “I do.” Pure magic.

We loved how each part of the celebration had its own beautifully designed space: cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing—all thoughtfully laid out and seamlessly executed. The bridal suite and groomsmen’s “man cave” were perfect for getting ready. And at the end of the night, the staff packed up all of our decor and belongings, making cleanup and departure a breeze.

From start to finish, everything ran flawlessly. The Mackey House team made the entire day feel stress-free—for us, our daughter and son-in-law, and every guest. They treated everyone with such kindness, care, and love—it truly felt like they were part of our extended family.

Thank you, Mackey House, for making our daughter’s wedding dreams come true. It was the most magical day, and our guests are still raving about how beautiful and joyful it was!

This was such an incredible venue! I loved everything about it! From the whimsical setting to the amazing staff. Everything was perfectly planned and carried out with excellence. Every moment was right out of a dream. It was a fairytale experience and I couldn't picture my special day any better than it was. The property is gorgeous and so well kept. The staff were so professional and kind. Their experience is top-notch. They leave no stone unturned. My wedding was beautiful and stress-free thanks to the Mackey House!

The Mackey House is a venue like no other. You truly step back in time. The grounds are so beautiful and the house is amazing. This was a destination wedding for us. It was the best decision we ever made. The wedding coordinator, Andie, was fantastic. She made sure the day ran smoothly and was a big help with planning and details. Diamond Dave was our DJ and MC. He was so much fun! My family and friends danced the night away and he made sure we had all the songs we wanted. It was truly a dream wedding.

We got married at the Mackey House on 12/08/2023 and it was the most magical experience. You can’t find another venue this spectacular with even better staff and people to work with. Dave and the staff at the Mackey House made everything seamless for us. Our bridal party, guests and family were shocked at the beauty of this venue and the kindness that is crafted through the staff. As they say, the venue is your canvas and they give you the paint brush to create your own masterpiece with them. We couldn’t have had a more perfect day. Diamond Dave is there for you for the best DJ experience as well as your coordinator and officiant if you choose! Thank you for letting us be a part of the Mackey House experience. We couldn’t have asked for a better venue or staff to work with. Weddings themselves are more expensive than I could imagine but the Mackey House was worth every penny. We highly recommend Diamond Dave as well as Thrive who made our night all the more magical. If possible my husband and I would both go back and do it all again. There was only excitement on our wedding day instead of nerves. It was the perfect night ❤️

Thank you to the Mackey House team. After touring countless wedding venues, we thought we would never find one that had everything we were looking for. My mom and I stumbled on the Mackey House one night and instantly fell in love. All of the string lights, the gorgeous white house, the fountains and pond, the tents, the bridal suite/groom's room -- everything was perfect! The amazing staff was an added bonus. Shelley and her team were incredible and so on top of things leading up to our big day. The team there the day of was so attentive and truly cared about making our day so special. They kept everything running smoothly and made sure everyone was having a blast. It was truly the best day ever and we couldn't imagine having had our wedding anywhere else!!

We truly can’t say enough about the Mackey House. Trey, Shelley and Dave were incredible to work with and the place itself is just breathtaking. I understand now why people here in Savannah say that’s it’s “The Wedding Venue”. We feel so blessed to have been able to have our celebration of love here.

We live in Chicago but my husband is from Georgia used to vacation in Savannah. However, we chose Savannah specifically for this venue. We looked all of the country but I kept comparing venues to The Mackey House. We loved the Southern elegance of the venue. We got married at The Mackey House in May (5/14/23) and had the best evening. The grounds were impeccable, our guests were in awe of the beauty and the getting ready rooms were PERFECT for pictures. The house is on enough land to feel secluded and allow each part of the wedding to be in a different area. We got married in the garden (!), cocktail hour was outside the pavilion, dinner/toasts in the pavilion and dancing on the deck. We loved the flow of the wedding...as did our guests. Leading up to the wedding, I went down to Savannah a few times (w/ my husband, mom) to see the venue. Even in the winter they had a grounds crew working to improve the venue - planting flowers, taking care of the grounds. Even the owner was there. You could tell that they took pride in their venue and was committed to making the venue beautiful for their clients and guests. Shelley was wonderful - very responsive and provided great recommendations. Highly recommend getting married at The Mackey House if you are looking for an elegant Southern wedding!

Could not say enough good things about the Mackey House & their stellar team! We live in Brooklyn but my husband is from Savannah, and we had our hearts set on getting married there. They were so helpful in planning a beautiful wedding from start to finish. We got married on 5/27, which ended up being about 50 degrees and raining - not quite what we expected from a Savannah summer weekend! Shelley and Shavonne were in touch that entire week about creating the perfect rain plan. We ended up moving from the garden to the pavillion, where they set a fire and our guests crowded around for a beautiful, intimate ceremony, and the rest of the night went on as planned! All of their covered spaces had heat/AC and blocked any wind or rain coming through, so it still very much felt like an outdoor wedding. We truly wouldn't have changed a thing and so much of that is due to the creativity of the team

From the moment I saw The Mackey House, I fell in love with it! I knew it was the one when I found myself comparing it to other venues I was looking at. When my husband and I went to tour the property for the first time, it felt surreal. We booked it that day and got married this past weekend! Leading up to the wedding, anytime we mentioned our venue to other potential vendors, they would gush about how much they loved The Mackey House and how amazing our wedding was going to be! It was safe to say we had high expectations, and they somehow surpassed them, making it truly the best day of our lives!
