We found Carlson’s by accident back in the summer of 2014! My daughter had just got engaged and we were looking for the perfect venue. While visiting the venue she ultimately chose for her big day, we were told that James Carlson was the Best in the business. My first thought was “I am sure I can’t afford him?!” After careful consideration, We made an appointment just to see, and within the first 5 min. I knew we had to have him and his team! We spent the next 16 months planning and when the big day arrived we were amazed! He took my daughter and son in laws ideas and turned them into a reality well beyond our expectations! From suggestions on vendors to furniture, lighting, linens you name it he had it all on point! He assembled the dream team and I am still hearing it was the most beautiful wedding friends and family had ever attended... until... fast forward 16 months when our other daughter became engaged! Yes TWO weddings in TWO years! It was a no brainer who we needed to call before we even told Grandma! And so it began again, the process of planning, only this wedding would take place within 9 months! So much to plan in so little time, but as before it was simple for James and his associates! Having two daughters with two totally different tastes he didn’t skip a beat figuring out EXACTLY what my daughter wanted and again exceeding every expectation we had! And again...we had a dream team of vendors and another beautiful wedding! Did I mention he also helped with a beautiful shower her sister put on for her? From start to finish, no matter what you need for the Biggest day of your life this is the first call you need to make! Carlson's handled my wedding planning, floral, and rentals. They took immense stress off of me from day one. During our first meeting, we sat together around a table and they brought my exact visions to life. They create a folder on their computer full of pictures we found together on pinterest and from their previous work. That sounds so simple but it made me feel so good that we both had a visual right in front of us to ensure we were on the same page. They never pushed anything extra on me but also made sure we weren't leaving anything out. I probably emailed Megan way too much but I always would have random questions and she would answer them (no matter how silly) almost immediately. They did a table mock up for me to ensure I loved the look we were going for. They even went above and beyond for me - on the day of my bridal portraits, it was downpouring all day. Carlson's had nothing to do with my portraits but I sent Megan a mayday text for an inside venue idea. She immediately texted back telling me to come to their new venue and even brought in vintage couches and charis for me for the pictures! On the day of the wedding, Megan had it HANDLED. I never had to worry about a thing. She checked on me all night to see if I needed a drink, to see if she needed to keep the sweetheart table clear of guests during dinner, to ensure we had the perfect exit. She somehow did all of this without even stopping the fun I was having. She would slide in real fast to check on us and slide right back out. You absolutely have to hire Carlson's.
