    The London is the best wedding-planning decision you will make.

    If you don’t have time to read our full review below, the brief headline is this: Booking The London for our wedding was hands-down the BEST planning decision that we made.

    The hotel’s event manager was responsive and caring throughout the process. For the last year+, we have been working with Matthew McKeon from The London. He helped us with every single step, from selecting the menu (we’re vegetarians, so picking a beef and fish dish was tricky for us – but our guests are still raving about the food a week later). He helped us decide on a layout for the ceremony and reception, among solidifying a thousand other details – and we trusted his opinions completely. He was responsive to our emails, gracious to work with, and by the time the wedding day arrived, we felt like he was a friend. We cannot say enough about how much we enjoyed working with Matthew; his attention to detail, kindness, and availability genuinely made the experience what it was: Perfect.

    In addition to working with Matthew behind the scenes, ALL of the staff at The London were gracious and friendly with our guests. Sebastian, Wayne – I wish I remembered more names! – and everyone from the servers to the front desk staff made our friends and family feel welcome. We are so appreciative to them for making it a positive experience for everyone!

    Beyond the wonderful people working at the hotel, we cannot forget to mention the absolute stunning setting that The London provides. Our guests, from all over the world, were blown away by the views. We tried to keep everything very simple (we used the hotel’s linens, chairs, tables, dance floor, etc.) but it looked anything but basic. I have seen photos from other weddings in which the space is decorated to the nines, and of course that looks beautiful, as well… but we found that accoutrement to be unnecessary. From the moment guests arrived in the elegant lobby, to their stepping onto the rooftop, the hotel effortlessly set the tone. It felt simple, sophisticated, flawless.

    I wish I could relive our wedding day a thousand times, and I credit that in large part to our impeccable experience with The London. Thank you, thank you!

    Amazing venue and staff

    Absolutely gorgeous venue with the most stunning city views. Mandy, the event director, was so amazingly kind, amazingly helpful, and amazingly professional throughout the entire process of my event planning. She was always extremely communicative and knowledgeable, and was a dream to work with. The rooftop views, amazing food, and beautiful ambience made everything magical. I will always be so grateful to Mandy for being such a huge help not only throughout the planning process, but on the day of!

    We just had our wedding here last weekend and The London is no doubt the most ideal venue for those of you looking for an outdoor wedding with the added bonus of having great views of Los Angeles. It was one of the best decisions we ever made because 1. The hotel is beautiful and practically speaks for itself 2. The quality of the food is excellent 3. They offer first class customer service along with a very friendly staff 4. They are pet friendly and even allow dogs at the ceremony/reception! Since we were getting married in September, we opted to have our wedding outdoors. We were very lucky that the weather was great and the views of LA from the rooftop were AMAZING. Our ceremony took place in Hampton Court and our reception was up on Rooftop West. If you don't want an outdoor wedding, the venue also has the Kensington Ballroom, which is just as beautiful.

    The staff at The London was extremely helpful in accommodating all of our needs. The catering manager (Leah Maio) is awesome and she definitely exceeded all of our expectations and more. She was very easy to work with and responded to emails very quickly. Our overall experience with The London was very positive and most importantly we left with great memories that will forever be remembered.

    We will be returning to the hotel next year to celebrate our one year anniversary and for the rest of the years to come!

Matthew manages more than 50 large social events and between 20-30 smaller functional annually.

Matthew holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Surrey located in Guildford, England and a certificate in tourism and hospitality management from FAU.

When he’s not working away, Matthew can be found Hiking around the city with his Italian greyhound, Posh!
