A restaurant wedding venue in Grand Rapids, Michigan, The Loft at Luna offers couples a charming and rustic event space for their special occasion. While searching for the perfect wedding venue, Luna owners Mario & Emily discovered their ideal wedding venue right above their restaurant. After holding their own wedding in the space in October of 2016, they opened the event venue to the public, and have been assisting couples in creating their ideal ceremonies and wedding receptions ever since.

Facilities and Capacity
In addition to ceremonies and receptions, The Loft at Luna can also accommodate wedding showers, engagement parties, and rehearsal dinners. They also happily host elopements. The space itself is a large, open area that can hold up to 160 guests. Couples are allowed to choose a custom layout for their event, using the high ceiling, pillars, and brick and wood accents to create their perfect space. Included in the venue is also a custom-built bar and caterer prep area. Guests are free to use the provided parking, or the offered valet service when arriving at the venue.

Services Offered
Rental of the Loft includes the use of the restaurant’s hand-built tables, cocktail tables, and black Chiavari chairs. Dedicated on-site staff are available for the duration of the event to help with set up, clean up, and any other needs that may arise. The Loft at Luna also offers their inventory of barware, flatware, and linens to use for a couple’s event.

Cuisine
The venue’s sister restaurant, Luna. offers in-house Latin American-inspired catering. Couples wishing to offer a different menu to their guests are welcome to choose another caterer from the venue’s preferred list, or make a special request for their favorite vendors. A buffet-style service is typical at the Loft, and couples can also request dessert selections, as well as hors d’oeuvres for a cocktail reception. Bar services are provided exclusively through Luna, and can include cash, open, or limited bar options supplying:

  • House beer, wine, margaritas, and liquor

Best Experience!

Our wedding was incredible! We did both our ceremony and reception at The Loft @ Luna and worked directly with Jenna who was absolutely amazing during the process. She answered all of my questions promptly and was so easy to work with even offering examples of how things had been done previously that worked well in the space. The space is absolutely gorgeous and stunning and their bar pricing was fair with everything included even the service fee when quoting, there were no unexpected hidden charges with any aspect of this venue. This venue was perfect with so many wonderful photo locations nearby and given we got married in the winter this venue was the perfect location, feel, and vibe we were going for with an industrial loft that spoke for itself! Would absolutely recommend The Loft @ Luna to anyone looking!

Sheer Perfection

We had such a great time working Mario & the Wedding staff at Luna, we always recommend them for anyone looking for a Venue!! We received nothing but rave reviews from our Guests regarding our food & drink choice (Taco Bar & Margaritas All The Way!!) This venue is truly a Hidden Gem and their staff is nothing but Amazing!!

Wonderful Venue!

My husband and I cannot say enough good things about The Loft at Luna! From our initial walk-through and throughout the rest of the planning process they did a fantastic job!

Angela & Emily were so responsive, kind, and knowledgeable. They got back to us quickly and checked in throughout the year to make sure planning was going smoothly. Everything was straight forward from the get go and things could not have gone any smoother. Day of Emily was attentive to our and our guest needs. She checked in with my husband and I numerous times to make sure we were having a great time and had everything we needed. All the catering and bar staff were so kind!

We had Luna cater as well and Tracey was awesome to work with! She explained all the different offerings and answered any of our questions in regards to guests with special dietary needs. At our tasting Tracey was personable and went above and beyond while we tried all the food. Night of our guests RAVED about how good everything was!

The space itself is awesome if you're looking for something that doesn't need a lot of decor as the exposed brick, beautiful tables, and chairs can stand alone. Although it still looked great dolled up with florals & candles as well. The space overall was clean and the bathrooms were full stocked with mints, full length mirrors, etc. which was not expected.

We cannot say enough good things about this venue! We would recommend it to anyone looking for something in the downtown gr area!
