We absolutely loved The Mill and are so glad we choose it for our venue when it comes to the space itself. It's a beautiful venue and was exactly what we were looking for when it comes to spaciousness and variety of locations, aesthetic and historical significance, and photos. However, we did not receive the quality of service we expected.

Throughout the process, we were given conflicting information and treated rudely by the owner of the venue. Some examples include the fact that our contract clearly stated we had full access to the venue until 11 PM but, because we made the decision to end our reception earlier than planned, the owner demanded that our family and friends have the venue cleaned up and that they be gone by 10 PM, causing them to have to rush out; being told we had until the morning of our evening wedding to make a decision about the ceremony based on weather and then being surprised with a demand to decide at 3 PM the afternoon before; and being told that we could not have the venue's couches and chairs in our cocktail space as planned because we opted to do the ceremony indoors and there wasn't enough room, even thought there was a tremendous amount of extra space and it ended up working out just fine once I insisted that elderly family needed to have a place to sit. We were also rushed through our final tour with our planner, and the owner treated my fiance very rudely, constantly interrupting him when he tried to ask or answer questions. If not for how much we loved the venue itself, we would not recommend working with The Mill after our unfortunate experience.
