Amazing Music!

The Klezmer Connection team was fantastic to work with!! They really fit all of the criteria that we wanted perfectly. The music was a perfect combo of traditional klezmer, contemporary rock, and beautiful instrumental music for our ceremony. The band even learned to play "At Last" which was a HUGE highlight as my wife and I danced to it for our first dance. Highly recommended!

Best Wedding Band Ever

Getting to marry my husband was the best part of my wedding, but the Klezmer Connection was a very close second. Steve was a complete joy to work with and was so flexible and kind when we moved our wedding outdoors at the last minute due to the high COVID-19 numbers in our area. The music was FANTASTIC. Steve, Cecilia, Philip, and Mike are all absolutely brilliant musicians. Ryan's voice is unbelievable. And everybody was floored by Ruthie's creative dance leading. We had limited space with a small dance floor, and Ruthie expertly led 100 people in a 40-minute energetic hora, winding them around tables and through each other to make the best possible use of space. She also organized a waltz circle, a folk dance, and a limbo. My husband is Turkish, and The Klezmer Connection learned two different Turkish songs for us, one made me cry as I was walking down the aisle. We could not possibly recommend the Klezmer Connection more highly, and we hope they are still around in 14-27 years so that we can hire them for our childrens' bar and bat mitzvahs.

You know the music was great at your wedding when just about every single guest goes out of their way to tell you so. Our primary goal with planning this wedding was to ensure that everyone, including us, had as much fun as possible. Wow, did we ever get that! I had the wedding of my dreams and it was due in no small part to Michele and The Klezmer Connection. I cannot imagine what it would have been like without them.

First I had a phone call with Michele where we simply clicked. Then we met with Michele in person and came to a deeper understanding of what we wanted and, almost more importantly, didn't want. She got us instantly.

They played the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception and everything was spot on perfect. The klezmer and Israeli music was authentic and every able-bodied person was up and dancing. The secular music was timed beautifully. They knew how to read the crowd and play what was most appropriate for the moment. The playing and voices were amazing. One guest even remarked about how she appreciated that the playing was softer while guests were seated and eating so they could actually have a conversation.

Michele truly led the reception and we both felt completely at ease.

I unconditionally recommend The Klezmer Connection. I cannot thank them enough.

I almost feel funny writing this review because I feel in some way like Michele and her band, the Klezmer Connection, have become a part of my family. No literally, my wedding was one month ago, and she and my mom went out to lunch just 2 weeks ago!

The Klezmer Connection was INCREDIBLE. I owe them so much for the energy and the joy that they brought to my wedding, they lifted everyone's spirits and made our wedding SO MUCH FUN.

First, the ceremony. They played 3 songs, 2 classic Jewish wedding songs that we requested, and one song my husband and I requested that certainly is not in the typical wedding repertoire. They created a beautiful arrangement that made me choke up as I began to walk down the aisle.

Cocktail hour I missed because I was running around but I'm sure it was awesome.

Reception:
THE HORAH was INCREDIBLE!!!!! It was crazy, a total moshpit , dominated by my husband's goofball friends and fraternity brothers. It went on for about 15 minutes, but could have gone on even longer. Also, it wasn't your typical horah music. It had the classics, but it also had some music that we had mentioned to Michele that we liked - she just seamlessly wove in our special requests.

The rest of the music following the horah was also FABULOUS. The musicians are so talented. We have a lot of family friends who play music and they were just like, WOW they can do everything! Jewish music, Motown, Contemporary - it all sounded amazing. I was just so excited by the way they fed off of the crowd's energy and the crowd fed off of them.

Literally, the dance floor was packed (by packed I mean overflowing) the entire night. We had a conga line, and during that, I saw people in the street next to the ballroom dancing with us. I wanted our wedding reception to be a huge dance party, and the Klezmer Connection made it that!

Finally, Michele was a joy to work with- I felt like she really cared about us the entire process. They were amazing.
