We had our wedding here on 9/26/15. Overall our experience was pretty good, but there were a few things that bothered me. One thing that was fantastic was the food. Everyone has told us how great it was. Another thing was the alcohol. They quickly served our friends and family who tend to go all night long. The ballroom itself is beautiful once all set up and they do a great job of that. The table service was also phenomenal, kudos to Ana. There are a few things they don't tell you though when you sign the contract. One is that there is the possibility that there can be another wedding at the same time as yours on the other side of the hall. Julie advised me that this would be no issue because the times were staggered. For the most part this was true, except that when I was supposed to start walking down the aisle, I was stuck in a hallway being blocked by the other bride and her crew who were trying to get into their reception. Also, once that wedding was over at 9, a few of their guests decided to come into my reception and try to enjoy our open bar! The staff and myself got them out once I realized, but that really bothered me. Another is that they don't tell you there will not be a day of coordinator to help the bride. Carl is the banquet manager and he is wonderful, but the bridal party is not his responsibility. This means the hotel doesn't provide anyone to tell you when to walk down the aisle or things of that nature. I luckily had a family friend to help out, but it doesn't seem that this is the norm for hotels who provide wedding receptions. Lastly, our wedding was in the evening and we didn't choose to do a first look. Be prepared that the photo options are limited because of the surroundings. We wanted one with the fountain at night with the lights on, but the staff for some reason wasn't able to do this. I will say that restaurant/bars Vivo and Grillfire were AMAZING! As a vendor we provided dj, Photography, and Photo Booth services at this venue on a few occasions and I’d Like to say that the venue is gorgeous and the staff are all top notch. You will find lots of personality and good work cohesion between the hotel staff and ballroom team.
